Huset ligger 100 meter från Mälaren på Selaön, Nordeuropas största insjöö. Huset har 200 kvm fördelat på två plan (två lägenheter). Plan 2 hyrs ut per dag under sommaren. Värdparet bor på nedra plan, 76 och 78 år.

Mälsåkers Slott ligger 6 km från huset och är ett av Sveriges vackraste barrockslott.
Äleby Herrgård ligger en knapp mil från huset. Äleby bedriver viltbruk på nästan 900 hektar. Här kan du äta middag i naturen eller handla diverse vilt i gårdsbutiken.
Gripsholms Slott ligger 2,5 mil från huset och strax utanför Mariefreds gamla stadskärna. Slottet inrymmer Statens porträttsamling.
I tornhuset finns Gustav III’s teater sedan 1782 och används fortfarande vid enstaka tillfällen.
En skyltad cykelled går genom Eknäs ca 300 meter från huset.

We highly recommend staying at Eva and Rolf’s place. We have been there in July 2023. The apartment, which consists of the entire first floor, is very spacious, cosy and it has (almost) everything you might need. It is located in a very calm, beautiful and remote area, right next to a lake where you can take a swim. The location has been great both for discovering the surroundings and relaxing. The only neighbours are some friendly goats, two talkative pigs and the lovely hosts who are living downstairs. They were ready to help us with every question we had and made our stay even better. We highly recommend using the beautiful Viking-style rowing boat, built by Rolf and equipped with an electrical motor, to discover the huge lake and its smaller islands. If it hasn’t been clear enough from all of the above – we would go back immediately!
