This cosy house is located on delightful Runmarö. The calm and picturesque surroundings contribute to the sense of idyllic summers, bliss and harmony.
The house is relatively newly built (2000) and offers a modern standard with stylish interior and decoration. The large deck is sun soaked from morning to night and has comfortable outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Below the deck there are lawns and lush areas with adjacent grazing fields. It is very likely you will be honoured by a visit from the king of the forest: the majestic moose or perhaps a fox or a deer. The nature beach in the bay and a forest lake are both within walking distance and around the corner you will find beautiful forest walking trails and paths perfect for walking of cycling. The owners of the house are happy to rent out bikes and a small motor boat to visiting guests. Additionally, there is a small guesthouse with doublebed which can be rented additionally upon request.
The bottom floor has a large common room with furniture by a window wall. The open plan design connects the common room, dining area for six people and kitchen. From this room you can enter the outdoor deck. There is one bedroom with a comfortable bunkbed (90*200cm) as well as a bathroom with sauna, shower and toilet. The hallway provides excellent storage. The upper floor has one bedroom with a bunkbed, bathroom with a toilet and sink, as well as a common room with a comfortable sofa and TV. This room gives you access to the balcony.
The guests park their cars in Stavsnäs harbour on the main land. On the island, you can book a bus taxi, which is recommended if you have luggage. While on the island, the best means of transportation is a bicycle. The house owners are happy to rent out bikes to staying guests.
Runmarö is a charming and picturesque archipelago island with an interesting cultural history, which offers many sights and gorgeous nature. On the island you can find lovely lakes and bays, mushrooms to pick and forests full of wonderful berries. There are excellent public boat connections trafficking routes to Stockholm and other islands located nearby, for instance Sandhamn and Nämndö.
Located just 500 meters away from the house is a charming bakery with outdoor seating, as well as a nice restaurant. The well-stocked country store is located 1,5 kilometres away, and the jetty where the public boat docks is 1,7 kilometres away.
Boats to the mainland (Stavsnäs harbour) are running regularly and takes approximately 5-10 minutes. During the autumn season they run as frequent as 8-14 times daily.
Distance to Stockholm: 1,7 kilometres to the boat dock, + 5-10 minutes to the mainland + 40 minutes by car or 60 minutes by bus (45 kilometres) to central Stockholm. Most of the time the boat and bus schedules are synchronised.
