Seaside Location in the Stockholm Archipelago

A simpler summer retreat with at least six beds on a beachfront property on Mörkö in the southern archipelago of Stockholm is now available for rent.

# Just under an hour from Stockholm by car.

# The wood-fired sauna is located in the old boathouse by the beach and offers nice relaxation opportunities in a room outside and on a deck facing the sea. The dock is directly connected to the sauna and extends out towards the fjord.
You are welcome to use the inflatable boat and stand-up paddleboard.

The main cottage features three separate areas: One area with a continental bed, another with a dining table and sofa by the large window with full sea view, and a third area by the fireplace with a sofa bed and armchairs.
The main cottage also includes two enclosed porches where you can view the fjord. Outside, there is a deck with multiple seating options and an outdoor bed.
Additionally, the main cottage contains a working kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and a sink area for brushing teeth and other needs.

The guest cottage is a well-insulated small house with a double bed and a table, offering full sea views from the windows.
Both cottages have space for extra mattresses. A small child can also sleep in the two-seater sofa.

The outdoor kitchen features several dining spots under a roof. Meals can be cooked on a flat grill, barbecue, or gas stove.
The property also includes a large trampoline.

The property is approximately 3000 square meters. There are neighbors, but the location is secluded and it is not a typical summer cottage area.

The location in the archipelago is fantastic:
The Mörkö bridge connects the island to the mainland, and it takes an hour to reach Stockholm by car, 20 minutes to Trosa, and half an hour to Södertälje.
Mörkö also has a general store with a good selection, a beautiful sandy beach, and several walking areas in oak-rich nature reserves. 280 meters from the property is an excellent spot for chanterelles. The island offers an ice cream buffet at Skanssundet and dining at Idala.

The summer house is simple and has been a paradise for us where we have lived "off-grid" without feeling uncomfortable.
There are solutions for everything:
# Stove with oven, refrigerator, and heating stove are gas-powered. Candles, open fireplace, and lanterns (there are many…) both heat and light up with a lovely glow.
# There is plenty of outdoor solar lighting.
# Drinking water is brought in containers (surprisingly little is needed) and rainwater for washing and gardening is collected in water barrels and a farmer tank.
# The roof has a solar panel that charges leisure batteries, and so far, we have not experienced a power outage. It is easy to charge mobile phones and other devices via 12-volt outlets.
# There is thus no mains electricity or running water from a well.

Upon your arrival, you will find gas, charged batteries, firewood, and filled water containers.
