Cabin in Swedish Mellbystrand

Guest cottage in northern Mellbystrand with a 5-minute walk to one of Sweden’s longest and finest sandy beaches at Laholmsbukten.

The cottage is simple, clean and fresh, with a separate bedroom with bunk beds and 1 pull-out bed with space for 2 in the living room. Access to a fold-out extra bed is available at no extra cost. There is a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee maker, etc. Water is taken from containers that we can help fill. The bathroom with shower and toilet is in a separate building where this is shared with us. We use this space ourselves for laundry and showering but have our own toilet in the living house. There is access to a washing machine and drying cabinet and can be used by arrangement and for a cost per wash. Drying rack is available.

It is very family-friendly here and there is access to various toys and a trampoline. The cottage has a 4G router with free surfing and a TV with Chromecast (a newer TV than the one in picture).

Mellbystrand is a lively summer village with, for example, the fine Strandhotellet, mini golf, restaurants and proximity to fine towns such as Laholm, Båstad, Halmstad, Ängelholm and Helsingborg – all worth a visit. Or why not take the 40-minute train from Laholm to Helsingborg with it’s ferry to Helsingör in Denmark. In short, there is plenty to see and discover here in the summer.

The long beach in central and northern Mellbystrand is known for being particularly nice, and many who live further south, such as in Skummeslöv or Hemmeslöv, therefore come here to sunbathe, swim and enjoy the beautiful sand dunes. A few hundred meters north, near Mellbystrand's campsite, there is the nature-protected hiking area Hökafältet with scenic exercise trails and MTB trails that are well-known in cycling circles for their fine quality. There are several high-quality golf courses in the surrounding area.

We who rent out are a small family with a 13-year-old son and we are happy to help with tips on things to see and do in the area. There is some information material in the cottage but also a tourist office in e.g. Laholm. We prioritize renting out to well-behaved people over 30 years of age and families.

Parking with space for 2 cars or a caravan. If you want to charge your car/caravan from an outdoor power outlet, this is possible for an agreed fee.
