Secluded Bohuslän Cottage Near the Sea

Welcome to a cozy cottage on beautiful Flatön, perfect for those seeking peace, nature, and close proximity to the sea. Here, you stay in a classic Bohuslän setting, surrounded by forest, cliffs, and salty swims just a short walk away.

The cottage is completely secluded, making it a place where you can truly unwind and enjoy your own space. Here, you’ll hear the wind in the trees, the birds singing, and feel a deep sense of stillness.

Nearby, you’ll find beautiful trails winding through open meadows down to coves, islets and rocky shores. Within walking distance, there are swimming spots with sandy and grassy beaches, as well as piers.

A short drive takes you to charming coastal villages such as Grundsund, Fiskebäckskil, Mollösund and Hällevikstrand, offering guest harbours, cafés and small shops. From here, you can also catch ferries to Gullholmen and Kärringön. In the surrounding area, you’ll find kayak rentals, the golf course in Ellös by the Malö straits, and Skärhamn with the Nordic Watercolour Museum.

A bit further away, you can visit Lysekil with Havets Hus aquarium, and Gothenburg with Liseberg amusement park, shopping and restaurants. Smögen and Nordens Ark are also within reach for day trips.

On the property, there is an outdoor shower with hot water, perfect after a swim in the sea or on a warm summer day. It’s also the only shower available at the cottage, which makes it a bit of a ritual in itself—standing outside in nature with warm water and the sky above.

The cottage has a simple and authentic feel, offering several sleeping arrangements with both double beds and sofa beds, making it suitable for groups.

This is a place for those who appreciate nature, simplicity, and the Bohuslän summer lifestyle—a place to disconnect and simply be.

Ground floor- Kitchen, Bedroom with a 180 cm double bed, Bedroom with two single beds, Living room with a wood-burning stove and a 160 cm sofa bed.
Bathroom with an incineration toilet, no shower.

Upper floor- Bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, space for an extra bed/mattress.
Lounge area with a 160 cm sofa bed, space for additional mattresses.

Outdoor-Outdoor shower with hot water.

Bed linen and towels are available for rent at an additional cost of SEK 150 per person per stay. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like to include this.

Final cleaning can either be done by you or booked for an additional fee of SEK 1,500. Cleaning equipment is available in the house. If you choose to clean yourself, we kindly ask that you leave the house in the same condition as upon arrival. If you would like to book final cleaning, please let us know at the time of booking.

A booking fee of 50% of the rental cost is due at the time of booking, with the remaining balance payable 2 weeks prior to arrival. A deposit of SEK 2000 is to be paid together with the final payment and will be refunded after an approved handover upon departure.
