Why Stugknuten?

So everyone can enjoy a holiday together.

At our core we're a tech company – but our drive comes from something far more down-to-earth.

We who founded Stugknuten grew up in Jämtland, with the mountains right outside the door. Fishing in still mountain lakes, skiing in winter, long days outdoors. That's the lifestyle that shaped us – and that taught us the value of slowing down, unwinding and spending time together.

Maybe that's exactly why, in the middle of today's digital world, we're so passionate about giving more people the chance to experience the same thing.

For us a cabin is a sanctuary. A place for calm, joy and recovery – whatever the season, wherever you are in life.

Who's behind it?

Stugknuten is part of Keep Pushing Group (KPG), where we – together with sister companies like iFiske – share a common interest in smart digital solutions that make people's leisure time easier.

Behind the platform is a team with backgrounds in digital product development, platform engineering and user experience – combined with a genuine desire to build services that actually make a difference. We believe in the power of modern, well thought-through solutions, but also in the people who build them.

We believe the right person makes the team. For us, hiring isn't about filling a role – it's about finding the right person. That mindset shapes both the team we build and the services we ship.

Our head office is in Östersund, Jämtland, but the team is spread across much of Sweden.

One platform – two sites

We also run our sister site Stugbasen.com. Our ambition is simple: make it easy for both guests and hosts to find each other. That's why every listing appears on both platforms – for maximum reach and better odds for everyone using them.

Safety and quality

A core part of what we do is creating a safe and trustworthy experience – for everyone involved.

Through Stugknuten's S-certification we've built in features like:

• Secure card payments
• Supplementary cottage insurance

We keep developing new services that make renting a cottage simpler, safer and more transparent.
