New house on Gotland

Beautiful holiday home by the sea on sunny Gotland!

Wooden house in Ljugarn on Gotland (Sweden's sunniest island). Gotland boasts the most sunshine hours in all of Sweden! From the beginning of May until well into October, you can expect glorious sunny days and mild temperatures!

Maximum occupancy: 2 adults and 2 children up to 18 years old.

Sharing the house with other adults is not permitted.

Fantastic location on a hill at the edge of the forest, just 700 meters from the sea and a sandy beach.

Please note: Smoking is not permitted in the house.

Pets are not allowed!

Two private parking spaces are available in front of the house.

World Heritage Site: Hanseatic city of Visby. Kneippbyn: Leisure park (home to the real Villa Villekulla from the Pippi Longstocking films. A large portion of the Pippi Longstocking films were shot on Gotland). To the northwest is a cave, and to the north of Gotland is the island of Fårö. Katthammarsvik: Oldest fish smokehouse with a restaurant right on the water.

The best time to travel is from April until well into October! Ask us!

Location: Ljugarn is located 45 km east of Visby, the capital city.

The holiday home is approximately 600–700 m from the beach.

The beach can be reached quickly via a path behind the house through the woods or via shorter hiking trails.

There is a small harbor in the village.

The supermarket is a 5-minute walk away.

You'll find everything you need there.

In summer, countless raspberries and blackberries grow less than 20 meters from the house (perfect for snacking!).

Ferries run to/from Nynäshamn, Oskarshamn, or Västervik in the summer. Flights go to Stockholm (Arlanda) and from there to Visby.

A more affordable alternative: Fly to Stockholm and take the bus from there to the ferry (Nynäshamn).

Take the ferry to Visby and from there a taxi or an SAS bus directly to Stockholm (Arlanda). From there, there are various flight connections to Visby.

Other sports and leisure activities: Distances: Beach 700 m, Tennis 500 m, Golf 500 m.

Garden and Terrace

Garden features: Natural garden (no lawn from summer onwards, as it is not mowed!).

There are two private parking spaces in front of the house.

No charging facilities for electric cars (fire hazard from cables!).

Security Deposit: A security deposit of SEK 1000 is due 4 weeks prior to arrival.

Minimum stay: 7 nights.

Arrival day during peak season is Saturday in July/August at 2:00 PM.

Departure during peak season is Saturday at 11:00 AM.

Final cleaning is the responsibility of the guest.

Please bring your own towels and bed linens starting in 2026.

(Children's beds: 90 x 200 cm, 140 x 200 cm; Adult bed: 180 x 200 cm)

Rooms: 1 large combined living, dining, and kitchen area with a fireplace, 1 guest room with 2 beds (bunk beds), 1 bathroom with shower, and 1 storage room. 1 bedroom with a double bed.


Exterior: 1 storage room,

3 adult bicycles, barbecue, parasol,

Table and 4 chairs for the terrace, as well as firewood (in winter), are provided.

The house is connected to the municipal sewage system
and has a regular toilet in the bathroom (not a composting toilet)!

TV, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, toaster, ironing board, iron, SodaStream with glass bottles (please bring your own gas cartridges), refrigerator/freezer.

German TV (some Swedish channels!).
Terrace, barbecue, table, 4 chairs, bicycles.
The village has a small harbor, a supermarket, a bakery, and a gas station. Several restaurants are also open during the summer.
The supermarket is a 5-minute walk away.

There you will find everything you need.
There are also restaurants, a bakery, a pizzeria, a kiosk, and a beach café with a mini-golf course.
The bakery, gas station, and supermarket are open year-round.
Various bands play at Brunna Dörren (a large inn) during the summer.
A charging station is located at the Coop in Ljugarn.
