Family-friendly countryside house close to lake

Welcome to Lars-Jons, a traditional Hälsingland farmhouse dating back to the 17th century! This spacious and secluded property offers plenty of room for larger groups. It is close to summer and winter fishing, swimming spots, flea markets, hiking trails, downhill skiing and cross-country skiing. The house is approximately four hours by car from Stockholm.

Guests may borrow a rowing boat without a motor, with space for four people. Perch and pike can be caught in Lake Skäråssjön next to the house and in other nearby lakes. The surrounding area also has many fishing waters with brown trout, Arctic char and rainbow trout.

The house is approximately 200 square metres and has four bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, an additional toilet and a living room. It is well suited to families with children and includes a large playroom, a cot, a potty and high chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and washing machine.

Here you can enjoy complete privacy, with the peace and quiet of the forest right outside the door. The Dellen lakes are only ten minutes away, the ski slopes in Hassela are approximately 30 minutes away, and Järvsö can be reached in about one hour. There are plenty of activities in the area, particularly during the summer.

On the ground floor, there is a living room with a large seating area and wood-burning stove, a kitchen with a dining table, seven chairs, two high chairs, an infant seat and a large wood-burning stove, one bedroom with a double bed measuring 180 × 200 cm, and a bathroom with a toilet and shower cubicle.

Upstairs, there is a large and spacious room designed as a children’s playroom, with four built-in beds. All have 90 × 200 cm mattresses, although two are located beneath a sloping ceiling and therefore have slightly less usable length than 200 cm. There is also a small wood-burning stove. Please note that the two upper beds are accessed by a permanently fitted ladder.

There is also a large bedroom with a 180 × 200 cm double bed, a cot and a private en-suite toilet. The fourth bedroom has two single beds measuring 90 × 200 cm and a small workspace.

Guests have access to all rooms in the house. Pillows and duvets are provided for all beds. The kitchen contains basic supplies such as tea towels, washing-up liquid, plastic bags and spices.

A mandatory cleaning fee of SEK 1,000 applies. Bed linen and towels can be rented for SEK 120 per person, unless guests bring their own.

Charging an electric vehicle from a 16-amp socket can be arranged at cost price.

Guests staying during the winter may need to clear snow from the parking area to the entrance upon arrival and during their stay following heavy snowfall, as we are not able to be at the house every day. The parking area is located directly next to the house. Snow shovels and spades are provided.

During the winter, a four-wheel-drive vehicle with studded winter tyres is strongly recommended. The house is in a secluded location, and the road may not always be ploughed immediately after heavy snowfall.

Telia mobile coverage is available. Other mobile operators have limited reception inside the house. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available.

Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. and check-out is no later than 11:00 a.m.
