There's much to discover on Skaftö and in the surrounding area. Sandy and rocky beaches, cycling and hiking trails through pine forests, over rocks or simply a stroll through the picturesque fishing villages.
The island offers a large golf course for everyone. For water sports enthusiasts, SUP and kayaking tours are available as early as spring. During the summer months, you can enjoy fresh fish with live music in the evenings at Pelles Rökeri.
In the off-season, the island is more leisurely. Time for a good book, fresh waffles, and steaming hot chocolate in front of the crackling fireplace. On walks in all weathers, with a bit of luck, you'll find chanterelles and porcini mushrooms; palm-sized mussels washed up on the beach, salt and seaweed fills the air, and beautiful sunsets in every season. The houses, streets, and harbors are decorated with lights and invite you to take evening strolls.
The Havets Hus (aquarium) in Lysekil, along with Gamle Stan and Norra Hamn, can be reached in 30 minutes by passenger ferry.
A trip through the archipelago by car is also possible heading south.
In Uddevalla, the region's oldest bathhouse can be reached via a beautiful panoramic path along the rocks. The large shopping center at Herrestads Torp invites you for a stop.
Also easily accessible are Frederiksten in Halden (Norway), Bohus Fortress in Kungälv, and the Liseberg and Daftö Summerland amusement parks.
Maps and excursion tips, addresses for boat tours, and bike and kayak rentals are available in the house.
