Well maintained mountain cabin

Welcome to our mountain cottage, which has been in our family since the 1940s. Everything has been renovated and well maintained.
Our cabin is an old traditional mountain cottage that has been carefully restored. It still carries memories from a bygone era, while the peaceful atmosphere remains, with the ”Sångbäcken” stream gently flowing just 30 meters below the cabin.
The entire property is fully fenced, making it ideal for children and/or dogs.
The cabin has two bedrooms: one with a 160 cm bed and one with a custom-built bunk bed. There is also a separate room with a 160 cm bed.
The cabin includes a wood-burning stove, a new heat pump/air conditioning unit, a large comfortable sofa, Wi-Fi, a 42-inch TV with Chromecast, books, puzzles, and board games.
There is also a dining room with seating for many guests.
The fully renovated kitchen (2025) is fully equipped with a dishwasher, underfloor heating, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and stovetop, waffle maker, electric kettle, coffee maker, spices, candles, and more.
The bathroom is fully tiled and includes underfloor heating and a shower. The hallway has a boot dryer.
There is also a glassed south-facing veranda.
“Tvagan” is a separate small building with a wood-fired sauna, and you can simply jump into the snow or down to the creek afterward — there are no nearby neighbors overlooking the property.
“Hangaren” is another building with storage space for skis and similar equipment. It also has a terrace outside. The guest room mentioned above is located there as well.
Firewood is available for purchase on site.
Maximum occupancy: 4 adults, with the option of using an old wooden sofa bed (suitable for 1 child).
Plus 2 adults in the guest room in ”Hangaren”
Changeover day is generally Sundays.
Within 10 minutes you can reach the ski slopes of Vemdalsskalet, Storhogna, and Klövsjöfjäll, as well as many excellent cross-country ski trails both in groomed tracks and out on the mountain. There are also plenty of snowmobile trails nearby.
The surrounding villages also offer plenty of other activities and attractions, including restaurants, bakeries, a brewery, beautiful interior design shops, and entertainment of all kinds.
During the summer, there is a nearby golf course, as well as fishing and mountain hiking for those interested.
We have a dog ourselves, so four-legged guests are especially welcome. Not suitable for guests with pet allergies.

Efter att ha tältat några nätter uppe på fjället var det härligt att få några dagar stugliv i Sångbäcksvallen. Mysig, välutrustad stuga. Stort plus att hela tomten var inhägnad så att vi kunde släppa ut och rasta våra hundar. Hade dock inte fattat att stugan låg efter den stora vägen mellan Skalet och Klövsjö, lite trist att höra trafiken och att inte kunna promenera från stugan. (Men den lilla detaljen får jag ta på mig att jag inte hade kollat upp.) Å andra sidan var det nära till såväl Storhogna, Vemdalsskalet och Klövsjö, bra utgångsläge för massor av fina vandringsleder och aktiviteter!

Toppenvistelse och toppenstuga. Mysig, välskött och ombonad stuga inredd med många fantastiskt trevliga detaljer i naturliga material.
Inga grannar, bra inhägnad gård, liten fin bäck 50 m från gården, nära vägen men det störde inte. Enkelt att ha hundar med.
Nära till många fina vandringar både på kalfjäll och härlig skog: Vemdalen, Storhogna, Klövsjö och Sånfjället. Utsiktsplatser och vattenfall i närheten.
Majvecka kan rekommenderas - inte just några mygg. Trevlig och enkel kontakt med stugvärden. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka.
