Farmhouse wing outside of Skövde

Charming cottage in a calm and rural environment on the eastern slopes of Mt. Billingen, situated between Skövde and Mariestad. The rising sun shines over the deck and, at the horizon, you can just spot Tiveden, Vaberget in Karlsborg and Hökensås. The view is at its most beautiful when the cherry and apple trees blossom.

The house is a wing of a small farm. The old part of the house is timbered and was reerected here in 1878. This is where you find the two bedrooms—the larger of which contains two 105 cm beds, the smaller containing one 90 cm and one 80 cm bed. Upstairs is a loft divided in two, each with a 90 cm bed.

The new part of the building was finished in 2008 and contains a well-equipped kitchen, a large bathroom (with WC, shower, washing machine), and a living room with a TV opening onto a large deck with a view. The total area of the house is 97 m2 not including the loft.

Garparör Nature Reserve is close by (1.5 km). In the village of Stöpen (4 km), you will find a grocery store and a pizza place. The closest beach is Vristulven (13 km). The city of Skövde has a water park (Arenabadet, 13 km) and an amusement center (Stellas Lekland, 11 km). For the bird watchers among us, there are two lakes nearby: Östen (11 km) and Hornborgasjön (29 km). Golfers will enjoy the golf courses in Lerdala (13 km), Knistad (16 km) and Skövde (17 km). Nearby summer cities are Mariestad (26 km) and Hjo (42 km). Other places of interest: Varnhem Abbey (21 km), Skara Sommarland (amusement/water park, 27 km), the Fortress of Karlsborg (52 km), Tiveden National Park (77 km).
