A charming 1930s forest cottage set high on a hillside, surrounded by woodland, sheep pastures and peaceful views. Here you stay in complete tranquillity with nature at your doorstep, close to swimming, fishing and long evenings on the sunny terrace.
Per Albin Cottage is situated high up on a hillside. The main house, together with the playhouse and storage building, sits at the top; below are a small guest cabin and an old barn. At the bottom, the fields slope gently down toward the lake.
The house has a spacious terrace with sun from morning until evening.
The garden is full of old-fashioned perennials, and a large grapevine climbs along one wall.
You will stay here alone, together with the Gute sheep grazing in the pastures and two cats. You are welcome to let the cats inside, but it’s not required — they can enter and exit the heated basement as they please. Out of respect for the cats, bringing your own pets is not allowed.
The location is very peaceful. The house sits along a small private road with minimal traffic and a hedge providing privacy.
Good fishing waters and swimming
Down by Lake Dämstasjön there is a swimming area with a barbecue spot and a sauna. It is known for its warm water thanks to the sunny location. You will have access to a rowing boat and a canoe, and there is also a simple kayak available.
There are also plenty of good fishing waters. Already at the bridge in Sjö and by the swimming pier you have a chance to catch fish. Not far away are Köpmantjärn and Stora Bergstjärn, with char, trout, and rainbow trout.
Nature right outside the door
From time to time during summer, the sheep graze right near the house; in winter they can reliably be found in the pasture at the top of the yard. Visiting them is included in your stay.
Deer and moose are not uncommon, especially in winter. During winter you may even see reindeer, most often in March and April.
In autumn, the garden glows in beautiful colours, and during winter evenings and nights you may be lucky enough to see the northern lights.
