West coast idyllic place near the sea, Hovenäset

Welcome to a true summer paradise at the heart of Bohuslän!
This is the house which is made for outdoor life. Here you have no more than three patios, one under the sky and two with roof. Enjoy the sea view from the roof terrace at the small cottage on the mountain. Enjoy your breakfast at the dining table at the back of the cottage, where the sunshine comes during mid-day. Or join the cook while he or she make the dinner in the outdoor kitchen, which also has a charcoal barbeque in front of the house.

If the sun is too hot or if it rains, the veranda with a roof is more suitable. Here you have a suite and a dining table.



Inside you will find everything you´ll need. This is a classic “sports cottage”, with one large room, which has space for dining area, a suite by the TV, one bedroom with a double bed together with one bedroom with a bunk bed. Here is also a fully equipped kitchen and a WC with a washing machine.

From the outside you can reach a toilet with a shower (newly built in 2014) and an additional bedroom with another 1-2 berths.

The ground plot offer is you wish, privacy, as room for games (block, croquet, badminton etc.), but has a central location in the lovely cottage village that was founded for about 50 years ago. You will run into some of the nice neighbours each day, especially if you take the short walk along the gravel road down to the boat and swimming jetty, situated in a privately located bay. By the jetty there is a small swimming boat that is available to rent if you are used to boats. We also have a sea kayak.

If you have younger children, the swimming spot Hovenäsets badplats is a good choice. This is a private bay with a small sandy beach and with jetties together with a jellyfish net. Outside of the jellyfish net there is a diving tower in several levels. It is best to go there by car.

Supermarkets, off license shop, medical care centre and pharmacy together with shopping, restaurants and cafes is available in Kungshamn (circa 5 minutes by car) and in Smögen (about 10 minutes by car).

For you who wish to move around, there are several options. One of Soteledens many walking paths is right outside your door step, if you wish to go for a jog or a walk, you are welcome to do so in the forest or along the coast all the way to Bohus Malmöns ferry camp in one direction or to Smögen in the other. There are several golf courses nearby, the closest is Sotenäs Golfklubb. In Hunnebostrand there are tennis courts and also possibilities for horseback riding in Icelandic horses. There are several camping sites in Kungshamn and Smögen, and many of them have activities such as miniature golf. We recommend a boat trip from Smögen to Hållö, or a hike out on beautiful Ramsvik, a visit to Nordens Ark, which is within ten minutes by car.

There is a lot to discover just around the corner.
