An archipelago dream very close to Gothenburg!

Warm welcome to our newly built house with sea views on the island of Knarrholmen. The house is located a short distance (appr. 100 meters) from the sea and offers accommodation that is scenic and tranquil with beaches and cliff baths. Here you simply will find an environment where you can enjoy classic Swedish beachfront archipelago life on the West coast. Perfect for those who want to unite the calm life of this getaway with Gothenburg's all events and activities. In 2017, the island's new Restaurant Knarrholmen opened. Very good food, sometimes even themed evenings, music etc. Please visit for more information.

Our house has 3 bedrooms and is suitable for 6-8 people). Bedroom 1 with a double bed, bedrooms 2 and 3 with family beds 120+90cm, and on one of the attics there are two additonal 90 cm beds. A large open-plan living / dining room with open glass sections, another attic with TV room and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer and wine cooler. Toilet with shower, washing machine and dryer. Terraces in all directions for all needs during the day from breakfast to dinner, as well as a gas grill. Only a short walk for children-friendly swimming and crab fishing or jumping towers and more daring dips and dives.

Two SUPs and two kayaks with life vests at guests disposal, free of charge. Also padel rackets for free use at the padel court on the island (court is booked separately on MATCHI).

Knarrholmen is car free and here you go by ferry from Gothenburg / Saltholmen ferry terminal 4-5 times a day in peak season (June-Aug), but the ferry goes all year round. From central Gothenburg you will reach Saltholmen by public transport in about 35 min and the ferry to Knarrholmen takes appr. 15-20 minutes.

Vi bodde två familjer i detta fantastiska hus på Knarrholmen. Huset var välplanerat med generösa sociala ytor och samtidigt bra sovplatser till samtliga 8. Huset hade även trevliga uteplatser i flera väderstreck och havsutsikt. På Knarrholmen fanns mycket att göra för båda barn och vuxna. Bad, vandring, paddel och krabbfiske för barnen. Vi besökte även restaurangen på ön som var mycket trevlig. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera att bo några dagar i detta hus!
