In the house and in the garden you can relax and listen to the silence, in the mountains you can take in the power of the wind and the sea and down in the harbor and in the village there is always something to experience for all the senses. Discover picturesque Skärhamn, which is an old fishing community with lots of life and movement. If you live here, you don't have to use the car for the whole week. Here there are several archipelago restaurants, small cozy shops, lovely baths, the comfort of the harbour, the cries of the seagulls and a calm & pleasant pace. Almost next door to the house is a wonderful bakery that has existed since ancient times, here you can buy fresh rolls for the breakfast table or maybe freshly baked coffee for the excursion?

SWIMMING PLACES, in the harbor in Nordviksstrand, just a couple of minutes' walk from the house, there is a lovely jetty you can jump from and a staircase so you can easily get in and out of the water.A quiet and pleasant place where you usually get to be alone. One kilometer from the house there is a large swimming area with jetty, jumping tower, sandy beach and also rock bathing from the small islet. If you want to avoid the municipal bathing areas and find your own quiet place, you can take a short walk to Gunnersviken, here you will find lovely rock baths for undisturbed moments where you can watch all the ships in the fairway passing just outside.

WELCOME IN , the entrance is on the middle floor. From the hall you enter directly into the living room and kitchen, a bright and open floor plan, here it is easy to enjoy yourself. Further to the right is a cozy bedroom.On the mezzanine floor there is also a toilet with a sink. Upstairs there are three bedrooms each with a single bed and a larger bedroom with a double bed. Upstairs there is also a larger bathroom with shower, toilet and two sinks. In the basement there is another shower and a day bed with room for two people.

The back side is wonderfully calm and peaceful, here there are four cozy patios: the greenhouse, the boat shed, the balcony and the patio facing the mountain. Enjoy the blackberries if they have ripened and taste the grapes in the greenhouse if they have turned blue.

If you go up into the mountains behind the house, you don't have to go very far before you are at the top and can enjoy a wonderful view and can take in the entire North Sea and Skärhamn and its surroundings.

Sjöboden is a special place where you can have cozy and memorable dinners when the weather is a bit rough.

Things to do on Tjörn, here there are many genuine archipelago communities. In the neighboring town of Rönnäng, the ferry goes to the car-free islands of Tjörnekalv, Åstol and Dyrön. Exploring these picturesque little island worlds is something you absolutely cannot miss.

Pilane sculpture in Hällene and the Nordic Watercolor Museum in Skärhamn have art experiences for both young and old. A creative cultural center with watercolor art from all over the world at the same time that Pilane offers world-class art in the middle of a Bohuslän cultural landscape among graveyards and grazing sheep.

Säby Kile's nature reserve is a wonderful trip, many bird species thrive here that benefit from the rich aquatic life. At Sundsby Säteri you can enjoy something good in the cafe and restaurant. There are also hiking trails and caves in the mountains.Read more about our donut stands at Tjörn...

PERFECT FOR CYCLING
Cycling in Skärhamn is perfect, Tjörn has excellent cycle paths. Some go along the sea and into pastures and are lovely to cycle along. It is possible to rent bicycles at Tjörn's tourist office, which is only a 5-minute walk away.

THE BUS
The bus leaves only 200 meters from the house. You can take the bus to Stenungsund and look around in a state-of-the-art shopping center, or cycle there on cycle paths. Or continue to Gothenburg and Uddevalla, by bus or train.
