‘Bäcken, a boatsman's cottage near Trosa’

Welcome to Bäcken, a boatman’s cottage dating back to the 18th century, surrounded by a large garden of over 3,000 square metres, featuring lawns, flowers and fruit trees. The cottage has been fully renovated in the traditional style to give the feeling of visiting your grandparents. The cottage also includes a guest cottage, the Annex. There is also a garage, which is not included in the rental. A large car park with space for several cars. The plot is enclosed by a fence. At Bäcken, you can relax and play with the children in a rural landscape close to nature. With a bit of luck, you might spot some wildlife. You can go for walks in the woods and pick mushrooms if the season is right. You can also quickly reach various attractions if you feel like it.
Location: The cottage is located approx. 1 km from Vagnhärad and 5 km from Trosa. In Vagnhärad, there are grocery shops, a restaurant, a pizzeria, a florist, HULO, petrol stations, Medley Safiren Bad & Gym, and a railway station with connections north to Stockholm and Södertälje in under an hour, or south to Nyköping, Kolmården and Linköping.
The idyllic archipelago town of Trosa offers everything you could wish for. Here you’ll find restaurants, a spa, shopping, canoeing, cycling, a high ropes course with climbing, mini golf, and much more. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming in lakes and the sea, such as at Trosa Havsbad. There are also historical attractions such as Tullgarn Castle and Tureholm Castle.
The cottage covers approximately 80 square metres per floor and features charming small-paned windows. The ground floor has an open-plan layout comprising a hall, bathroom, kitchen, dining area and a large living room with access to a conservatory, which is a lovely place to enjoy all your meals. On the upper floor is Bedroom 1, a large room with a French balcony, a double bed, a TV corner with a sofa and a desk. There is space here for a cot or travel cot. The upper floor also features Bedroom 2, a separate bedroom with two single beds.
The Annex covers approx. 25 sqm. Here you’ll find Bedroom 3 with two beds, an armchair, table, chest of drawers and wardrobe, as well as toys for the children.
Outdoor areas: There are two patios with garden furniture, one by the garage and one by the shed. A smaller patio with two charcoal barbecues is located behind the cottage.
Self-check-in/check-out. Bed linen and towels are not provided. Guests are responsible for final cleaning.
