House on Rödlöga (Rodloga)- Stockholm Archipelago

Welcome to Rödlöga village! We are located far out in the outermost archipelago. The house is bright and spacious (approx. 150 m2) and the ground floor has a large and well-equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer. Dishes are done by hand by heating water on the stove. In the dining room there is a beautiful iron stove and a large dining table with a fantastic view of the entrance to Rödlöga. On the ground floor there is also a large bedroom with windows in three directions, a double bed with a door out to the large terrace. Upstairs there is a lovely living room with a sofa and several armchairs, also with panoramic windows towards the water. On the upper floor there are two spacious bedrooms with two beds in each room (can be made up as double beds or as two single beds). There is a large terrace with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. There is an outdoor shower on the property. A short distance down a flight of stairs is the fresh toilet. If you want extra space, a shed can be rented where there is another double bed. On the north side towards the sea, a lawn can be used for kubb, badminton, volleyball, etc. The house is on a cliff and it is quite steep in some places. There are stairs and steps and therefore it can be a bit difficult to have small children who need a lot of supervision.

The cozy sauna and the jetty waterside can be booked free of charge. If you come with your own boat (<8m), please let us know and it can usually be possible to arrange a place at the jetty.

Rödlöga is a small peaceful island far out in the outer archipelago. Final destination for Vaxholm boats. Nature has everything you can imagine, everything from forest, meadows to with windswept junipers growing along the polished granite cliffs. Smooth cliffs for sunbathing and swimming, which are easily accessible through the island's various paths. In the summer, the forest is full of blueberries. From midsummer to mid-August, the small well-stocked general store with its coffee Truten is open. Rödlöga has no electricity or water connected so you can enjoy living a slightly simpler life. Where water for washing dishes and hygiene is pumped up from the well near the house. Limited electricity is available for the fridge/freezer and some lighting. Here we stay offline as much as possible, with our phones and computers as far away from us as possible. We enjoy socializing under the light of kerosene lamps and candles. If you must, there is limited wifi during high season.

Guests clean the house themselves.
Sheets and towels can be rented for an additional cost
The house is rented per week.
Changeover Sundays, arrival at the earliest at 3 pm, departure at the latest at 12 pm.
