Charming chapel with all the mod cons

Holmbo chapel, from 1890's, is situated in a small village near a number of lakes in the beautiful countryside between Valdemarsvik and Åtvidaberg. The bottom floor is handicap friendly and contains a large family room with a wood burner, a master bedroom + a single bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom with washer and dryer. On the top floor you will find another master bedroom with an additional single bed. There is also a WC.

Around half of the house there is a patio, perfect for socialising or for days when you just want to bask in the sun. There are a good amount of different types of outdoor furniture to enjoy and of course a decent grill for barbequing. For anyone in wheelchair there is a ramp from the parking spot up onto the patio.

In the area surrounding the chapel there are several nice places where you can take a swim in one of the many lakes. About a kilometer from the house there is a very well-assorted grocery store + gas pump. This is also where you will find a multisport "arena", an outdoor gym and a handicap friendly bathing site. If you enjoy a sauna you can pay for access to that by the same lake. The woods in the area are filled with hiking trials, several nature reserves and if you find mushrooms or berries you are free to pick them. If you like fishing you can buy a fishing permit in the grocery store.

The chapel is situated 30 km from Åtvidaberg and 15 km from Valdemarsvik. It takes about an hour by car to Linköping, Norrköping or Västervik. Popular destinations in the area includes the archipelagos of St Anna, Gryt or Misterhults, Kolmårdens zoo, Gamla Linköping, Söderköping with Göta kanal, Astrid Lindgrens värld in Vimmerby (ca 1h 20 min) and the medieval city of Vadstena (ca 1h 40 min).
