Environment
The property is located on western Södermöja and faces southwest, west and north with forest to the east. The morning sun rises over the trees and the evenings end with sunset over the islands to the west.
Södermöja is located a short distance from the main island Möja and is part of the Möja archipelago with numerous islands and islets, largely uninhabited, and the open sea just outside. The island is car-free and lacks shops and restaurants, which contributes to the peace and feeling of seclusion. On the other hand, nearby Möja has shops, restaurants and other services.
Between Södermöja and Stora Möja lies a narrow strait, Möjaström. You can get to Stora Möja by Waxholmsbåt, taxi boat or your own boat. Shops and restaurants are also available on other islands within easy reach, including Norra Stavsudda. You can also refuel the boat on Stora Möja or Norra Stavsudda.
Getting here
If you are coming from the mainland, take the car or bus to Sollenkroka on Värmdö. There you board the Waxholmsbåt boat which takes you to Södermöja jetty in about an hour. Then you take a walk of about two kilometers, the last part through a path in the forest.
You can take the Waxholmsbåt boat all the way from Stockholm, the journey to Södermöja pier then takes about 3-4 hours.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi boat from Sollenkroka directly to our pier, which takes about half an hour depending on how many other piers you call along the way. Möja Båttaxi usually runs regular trips. However, it is still unclear what the 2026 season will be like.
