- 12 minutes by car to Stöten ski resort.
- Within 30 minutes you can reach all of Sälen’s alpine ski areas.
- 45 minutes to Trysil (Norway).

- Broadband – Free Wi-Fi via Tele2 4G mobile broadband (bandwidth may be limited during peak season).
- Charging station for electric car – EV charging available about 100 meters from the cabin, at Sälen Hostel. Charging via the cabin’s engine heater outlet is not allowed!
- Dogs not allowed – Due to allergies, we are restrictive with pets. Please contact us first.

Nearby
- Canoe rental – Rent canoes and kayaks at Stöten Camping (10 min by car).
- Cross-country skiing – Strap on your skis right outside the cabin and glide into the local ski track (up to 8 km loop). Please note: not professional standard – maintained by Sälen Hostel.
- Downhill skiing (snowboard) – The nearest ski resort is Stöten (12 min by car). Within 30 min you can reach all of Sälen’s alpine areas. Trysil (Norway) is only 45 min away.
- Fishing – Excellent grayling and trout fishing in the Görälven river just below the village (walking distance).
- Hiking trails – The famous Kungsleden trail passes about 2 km from the cabin. A connecting trail runs right past the cabin. Gräsheden is ideally located for day trips to Fulufjället, Näsfjället, and Sälenfjällen. Scenic riverside walks also recommended.
- Indoor swimming facilities – Available in Lindvallen (about 30 min by car).
- Rafting – Easy whitewater paddling from Stöten Camping. Bring your own kayak or rent one at the campsite and paddle down to Gräsheden or further towards Sälen village.
- Snowmobile driving – Snowmobile trails start right outside the cabin, connecting to the Kungsleden about 2 km away.
