House by the lake Värmeln i Värmskog-Värmland

2 houses with 5 and 2 beds respectively at the Värmeln beach in Värmskog-Värmland.

A total of 4 bedrooms, of which one bedroom with two single beds is located in a detached cottage of 25 m2 with its own toilet and shower.

It is possible to rent only the large house without the detached cottage. We do not rent the houses separately to different parties at the same time.

The large house is heated via water-borne underfloor heating and the small house is heated via electric underfloor heating.

Inside the large house;
Bedroom 1 downstairs = 1 double bed.
Bedroom 2 downstairs = 1 single bed.
Bedroom 3 in the loft = 2 single beds.
1 bathroom with toilet, shower cabin, washing machine and drying cabinet.
Living room with Smart TV and wood-burning stove for cool autumn evenings.
Kitchen with space for 7 people.

1 bathroom with toilet and shower.
1 table with 2 chairs.
1 sofa for 2 people.

1 small refrigerator.
1 small kettle.

Departure cleaning, towels and bed linen are included in the rental.
Fiber connection/WIFI is available/included.

Outside;
Gas grill perfect for grilling perch.
Large terrace and lovely lawn for play and games and with a huge trampoline.
Although you usually find yourself enjoying the peace and quiet that the surrounding nature gives, you will sometimes also hear the occasional child's laughter or bump into a neighbor in the area as there are other houses in the area.

Fishing in southern Värmeln!
Boats are available for rent as follows;
- Rowing boat (2-3 adults) with electric motor.
- 2 fishing kayaks.

Fishing license for southern Värmeln's fishing area is required for adults over 18 years of age and can be purchased online at ifiske. The boat dock is 80 m in front of the house where there is a mooring to use and is included in the rent if you choose to bring your own boat. Otherwise, it works fine to stand on the dock and fish for perch =) (fishing rod/rod and life jacket are available to borrow).

If you don't feel like fishing, there are many destinations and attractions that you can reach on foot if you feel like it (otherwise you can drive close to most places).

Hiking, nature experiences and attractions!
- Silverleden (hiking trail), distance from the house about 3 km.
- LM Eriksson's memorial/museum, distance from the house about 3.5 km (the museum is open in the summer).
- Silvergruvorna, distance from the house about 5 km.
- Glaskogen nature reserve, distance from the house about 50 km (for more info see Glaskogen's website).

Shopping and restaurants!
- Värmskog's famous shrimp cafe is only about a 20-minute walk or a 10-15 minute boat ride from the house (open all year round).
- Värmskogs Outlet is next to Värmskogs Cafe where you are sure to find a bargain.
- Degerbyns country store about 7 km, the nearest place if you need groceries (open all year round).
- Klässbol about 17 km, here is the famous linen factory with a shop. The linen factory is a royal court supplier and supplies tablecloths for the Nobel dinner. There is also the popular café Kaffekvarnen, which is open in the summer.
- Grums about 20 km, here you have BOFAB fish shop, Coop and ICA grocery stores, gas station. You can get here by train.
- Borgvik about 20 km, incredibly beautiful environment among the cabin ruins on both the shores of Värmeln and Lake Vänern. From here, some iron was delivered to the Eiffel Tower in Paris a long time ago, it is said. Here is also Sliperiet, another popular (luxury) restaurant. It is possible and a nice nature experience to go to Borgvik waterway in the summer.
- Arvika about 30 km, cozy summer town and the popular "arvika-martén" which is usually held the first weekend in October, here you will also find, among other things, the rackstad museum, a popular vehicle museum as well as supermarkets and a few different unique shops in the city center, especially in handicrafts. You can get here by train and there are car rental companies here.
- Karlstad about 50 km (residence city), here you will find, among other things, the world-famous Swedish artist Lars Lerins Museum, IKEA and two large shopping centers (Bergvik Shopping Center and Välsviken Shopping Center).

Swimming!
In the summer there are good opportunities for swimming in Värmeln.
- There is a swimming area 80 meters in front of the house, otherwise there are nice small beaches to get to by boat.
- Across the lake there is "little Hawaii", a cozy little beach located on an island. It works fine to take a boat or kayak across.
- Långeudde, about 3 km, public swimming area that works both by boat, walk or drive to.

In winter!
There are several nice ski slopes within an hour's drive from the house, including:
- Rackstabacken in Arvika, about 40 km.
- Frykstabacken in Kil, about 50 km.
- Valfjället, about 80 km.
It is possible to store ski equipment in a locked space next to the house.
