Charming washhouse, Östra Alvara, Böda

We let our washhouse in Östra Alvara, Böda,
90km north of the bridge Ölandsbron.

The house is gently renovated and fully modern. It´s built on three half floors and consists of a large kitchen and living room in an open plan. Fully equipped kitchen. There is also an old iron range. There are eight seats around the dining table. In the living room there is a Hemnes day bed/sofa which can be converted into two spare beds if necessary.

In the bathroom there is a shower, a bidet and a washing machine.

On the middle floor there is a spacious bedroom which is open up to the roof ridge, a double bed, door leading up to a smaller landing and stairs down to the garden.

On the top floor there is an additional large bedroom with a pitched roof. Here is a double bed together with a wider single bed 110 cm. Possibilities to a cot.

The washhouse is suitable for 4 - 6 persons, divided on the two bedrooms. The Hemnes day bed in the living room offers possibilities for two spare berths.

The washhouse is located as an integral part of a somewhat active farm. Outside the staircase there is a large garden with access to a barbeque and garden furniture.

Alvara is located 90km from the bridge Ölandsbron on the northern part of the island Öland. The village is located 4km south of Böda, with Bödaknallen, ICA supermarket and Bakery & Café, Kaffestugan, available. In Böda marina there is a fish shop, a smokehouse, and a restaurant.

It´s 5km to fantastic sandy beaches in Bödabukten on the east side of the island. If you want limestone outcrops, you must go to the western side circa 8 - 14 km.

If you enjoy bicycling, there are many lovely village streets to explore on your way to the island´s beaches and other nature experiences. Road 136 can be heavily trafficked so google and choose all smaller roads around the area.

There is wonderful nature hiking possibilities down at the Alvara beach land which is known for its orchids and a rich birdlife.
The washhouse is just 700 mts from the Baltic Sea / beach land. Beautiful sunrises for early risers are guaranteed.

Jättemysigt ställe med kossorna utanför fönstret. Bra läge med närhet till fina Böda strand. Vi bodde här en vecka med våra två barn och deras farmor. Stora sovrum och mysigt att äta middag i trädgården med kossorna råmandes bredvid i en för övrigt tyst och lantlig omgivning och fina cykelvägar runt omkring. Huset ligger brevid huvudhuset, där värdparet bor och vi trodde att det skulle kännas lite tätt inpå men märktes knapp och dom var väldigt trevligt. De bjöd på egenodlade grönsaker och potatis - mycket uppskattat.
