Nearby is a section of the Sörmlandsleden trail, Eriksö nature reserve (bridge there too), the island of Oaxen with its disused limestone quarry (yellow car ferry there) and Idala café which serves locally brewed craft beer and has outdoor concerts on several summer evenings.
Those without a car can get to the cottage with SL Mörkötrafiken, which is on-demand public transport, i.e. taxis from Hölö, where there is an bus public bus (no 784) from Södertälje. The taxi is booked at the same price as an SL ticket (43 SEK).
