Timbra, Utö. Unique log house, high location

Beautiful log house on lovely Utö is situated high on a large and sunny natural plot with approx 200 meters to the sandy beach and cliffs. On either side of the house there are warm and sunny patio decks with privacy fences.
The unique log house is 250 years old and originally from Medelpad, shipped and rebuilt log by log on Utö.
The large living room is open in ridge with several light inlets at different levels. Newly renovated, well-equipped kitchen with dining area for 6 people and open plan to the living room with sofa group, armchairs and a Smart-TV. Open to the gable, beautiful windows and a large beautiful brick fireplace give the room a unique and lovely character. Exit to the balcony, now with an electric grill.

Two bedrooms on the entrance floor, one with a double bed (180x200 cm) and one with a single bed (90x200 cm). Downstairs there is also a separate WC, as well as a bathroom with a sit-down bath with a shower. The washing machine is available but is sensitively placed and may only be used under caution and supervision.
On the upper level there is a large lovely and bright loft with a double bed (160x200 cm) and wardrobe.

NOTE: Steep walkway/trail up to the house.

Utö is the largest and outermost island in Stockholm's southern archipelago. The island has a lot to offer; relaxation in beautiful nature, wonderful beaches, rich wildlife and an unusual amount of birds, culture, history, several museums. There is a rich selection of restaurants, bars, bakery, café and some stalls for various shopping.
Take the opportunity to see the mine holes from the 12th century and the fine old miners' dwellings.

Lots of activities such as Kayaking, SUP, pedal boat, Segway, beach volleyball, mini golf, etc.
Many beautiful hiking trails and lovely dirt roads to cycle on.

There are nice beaches or cliff bathing spots to choose from.
Children's swimming - shallow bathing bay with nice sandy beach. Located approximately 15 minutes' walk from Gruvbryggan where regular boats dock.
Ålö Storsand, this beach can compete with the finest beaches on Gotland. The water is deeper than at Children's Bath but still very suitable for children.

The island is big and there is a lot to discover. Bicycles for rent are available at Utö Gästhamn by Gruvbryggan and at restaurant Båtshaket on Ålö. There are also EU mopeds and electric bicycles to rent per day at Utö Sjömack. And the island has its own taxi company, Utö Taxi.

Regular Waxholms boat to Utö departs from Årsta havsbad and from Strömkajen at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm city.
Possibility to rent a private parking space with a barrier for the car at Årsta Havsbad.
