A Beautiful Family Villa on Resarö – Your Home in the Stockholm Archipelago

Welcome to our lovely villa on Resarö, in the heart of the Stockholm Archipelago – a wonderful place to enjoy the Swedish summer with family and friends.

The house is a charming 1½-storey villa, built in a traditional, old-fashioned Swedish style while offering all the modern comforts you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It is surrounded by a large, lush natural garden where there is plenty of space for children to play, adults to relax and everyone to enjoy long, beautiful summer days together.

The house has furnished outdoor spaces in every direction, so you can always find a sunny or shady spot throughout the day. There are also several places where you can barbecue and enjoy meals outdoors.
A house made for togetherness

One of the highlights of the house is the large, bright glass veranda, furnished with a dining table and comfortable lounge furniture. It is a wonderful place to have breakfast, enjoy a long lunch, gather for dinner or simply sit together with a glass of wine and enjoy the peaceful Swedish summer evenings.

There are several additional seating areas throughout the garden, as well as generous open spaces for games, relaxation and family time.

At the highest point of the property, you will find our newly built, detached wood-fired sauna house. It includes a relaxing lounge area and has its own veranda furnished with comfortable lounge furniture and a barbecue. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day by the sea or to enjoy a traditional Swedish sauna experience.
The heart of the home – the kitchen

The heart of the house is the large, newly renovated kitchen, which combines modern convenience with traditional Swedish charm.

The kitchen has brand-new appliances, a wonderful walk-in pantry and an old-fashioned wood-burning stove. There is also, of course, a modern cooker and oven for everyday cooking.

From the kitchen, you have direct access to the beautiful glass veranda, making it easy to move between cooking, dining and relaxing outdoors.

Ground floor

On the entrance level, you will find a spacious living room with an open fireplace, comfortable sofas, a piano and TV. It is a cosy place to gather together, especially on cooler evenings.

There is also a dining room with seating for up to 10 people, with direct access to a south-west-facing terrace. The terrace has comfortable lounge furniture as well as a café table and chairs, making it a lovely spot for an afternoon coffee or an evening drink.

Upper floor

The upper floor offers four bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate living room with a sofa bed (140cm) and TV.

Bedroom 2
A spacious bedroom with a 180 cm bed, room for a child's cot, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 3
A bedroom with a 160 cm bed and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 4
A bedroom with a 120 cm bed and chest of drawers.
From summer 2027, the bed will be replaced with a 160 cm bed.
Bedroom 5
A small, cosy room with a sofa bed providing a 120 cm sleeping width.

A garden full of possibilities

The garden is particularly well suited to families with children. There is a trampoline, sandbox and football goal, as well as plenty of open space for running, playing games and simply enjoying being outdoors.

There are many peaceful corners for adults too – whether you want to read a book in the sun, enjoy a cup of coffee, prepare a barbecue or simply relax and listen to the birds.

An EV charging point is available on the property. (an additional charge applies for charging).

The sea is just a short walk away
One of the wonderful things about staying here is how close you are to the water.

The nearest jetty is just 150 metres from the house, where you can go swimming, fishing or enjoy a picnic by the sea.

Within just a few minutes' walk, you will also find several small, charming beaches and jetties, perfect for discovering different swimming spots and enjoying the beautiful archipelago surroundings.

Everything you need on the island

Resarö has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. On the island you will find a grocery store, a summer café and a fine-dining restaurant.
For those who enjoy being active, there are hiking trails, tennis courts, a football field and canoe rental on the island.

For golf enthusiasts, Bogesund Golf Course is nearby.

Easy access to Stockholm and the archipelago

Despite the peaceful island setting, it is easy to travel to both Vaxholm and Stockholm.

The nearest SL bus stop is approximately 700 metres from the house. Buses run to Vaxholm and Stockholm, with the journey to Stockholm taking approximately 50 minutes. On weekdays during the daytime, there are also direct buses to Stockholm city.

You can also experience the Stockholm Archipelago by boat. Waxholmsbolaget serves Ytterby Jetty on Resarö on selected departures each day, depending on the service. From there, you have wonderful opportunities to explore the islands, villages and beautiful scenery of the Stockholm Archipelago.

Getting to Resarö

Resarö is easy to reach by both car and bus.

Road bridges connect the island with the mainland and with Vaxholm, making it convenient to arrive by car. The nearest bus stop is approximately 700 metres from the house.

Waxholmsbolaget also calls at Ytterby Jetty on Resarö on selected daily departures.
