Welcome to our newly renovated cottage, beautifully situated in the countryside by Lake Tavelsjö, with views of the water and surrounding nature. Here, you can enjoy a comfortable stay in a cosy, homely setting, close to forests, swimming spots, outdoor activities and little adventures in the beautiful natural surroundings of Västerbotten.

THE ACCOMMODATION

- Free parking with plenty of space, so bringing a trailer is no problem.
- Kitchen equipped with a stove, combination oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, crockery, kitchen utensils, a Dolce Gusto capsule coffee machine and a traditional filter coffee maker.
- The kitchen is combined with a bright living room featuring a sofa bed (135 cm), TV and lake views.
- Dining area with seating for four.
- A cosy bedroom with a double bed (160 cm). Please note: Bed linen is not included.
- Bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and water heater.
- Air-source heat pump for a comfortable indoor temperature all year round.
- Within walking distance (approximately 150 metres) of the lake and a swimming area.
- Easy self-check-in from 3:00 PM.

FISHING

A fishing permit is required to fish in the lake. A rowing boat can be borrowed by prior arrangement.

In winter, the area offers excellent opportunities for cross-country skiing, ice skating on the lake and snowmobiling through the snow-covered surroundings.

TAVELSJÖ

Tavelsjö offers beautiful nature experiences all year round. You can hike along the Tavelsjö Trail, go swimming, fishing or canoeing on the beautiful Lake Tavelsjö, or explore local farm shops and cafés.

GROCERY STORES & RESTAURANTS

The nearest local grocery store is approximately 8 km away, so we recommend picking up groceries on your way to the cottage.

In Tavelsjö, you will also find two small local restaurants offering a simple menu on weekends.

If you would like to explore further, the city of Umeå offers a wide selection of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops, approximately 25 km from the cottage.

Natuurbad – If you fancy a swim, it’s good to know that the swimming area has shallow water near the shore and a typical natural lakebed. To swim properly, you’ll need to go a little further out. The swimming area is shared with the host’s family and a neighbouring family.
Vissen – A fishing permit is required to fish in the lake.
Wandelmogelijkheden – The Tavelsjö Trail or 10 Peaks in Tavelsjö.
