Tjörneröd Sundowner Lodge is a small, personal retreat on Österlen, created for those who believe that nature, tranquillity and life’s simple pleasures are the greatest luxuries of all.

A wonderfully comfortable double bed. Your own wooden deck overlooking the fields. A simple outdoor kitchen. And sunsets that never need to be booked in advance.

A long, hot shower beneath a glass roof. A pool and a wood-fired sauna. All year round.

Our private outdoor spa is shared with us, but whenever it’s time for a swim or a sauna session, you can enjoy it in peace and privacy.

A little luxury, a lot of nature
A simple yet luxurious place to stay for those longing for nature, peace and quiet, and that little something extra.

Here, you’ll find yourself right in the heart of Österlen’s beautiful countryside, with open fields just outside your door and sweeping views from your own private deck. A place to retreat, slow down and simply be.

Enjoy long walks through the surrounding countryside, passing horse paddocks and grazing cows. There’s a bicycle available for you to borrow, too.

The lodge is perfect for two, but if you’re travelling solo, you’re just as warmly welcome. Additional sleeping accommodation for up to four guests is also available when you book Sundowner Lodge. Dogs are especially welcome!

Small, personal and full of character
The lodge is small and intimate, more like a traditional Norwegian hytte (cabin) than a conventional hotel room.

Inside, you’ll find a truly comfortable double bed dressed in lovely bed linen, along with towels and a bathrobe.

The simple outdoor kitchen is equipped with a fridge, coffee maker, kettle, hot plates and a Weber barbecue.

And then there’s the outdoor loo – an elegant, rather luxurious take on the traditional privy.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that make an experience truly memorable.

Discover Österlen – or do absolutely nothing
During the day, explore everything Österlen has to offer: hiking, cycling, swimming, farm shops, interior design boutiques, vineyards and art. Savour delicious local produce, discover beautiful beaches and charming fishing villages, or simply do absolutely nothing at all.

When evening comes, it’s time for a SUNDOWNER.

A drink. A sunset.

A warm shower beneath the stars.

And absolutely nowhere else you need to be.
