Welcome to our charming little Swedish summerhouse, a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature and with a lovely view over the lake.
The house has a wonderfully rustic character, while having recently been renovated to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Here, you can slow down, enjoy the simple things and spend your days close to the water and nature.

The house
The summerhouse (newly renovated in 2026) has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people in total – 4 beds in the bedrooms and 2 additional sleeping places on the living-room sofa.

    •    Living room with sofa bed for 2 people
    •    Fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher
    •    Bathroom with shower, hot water and flushing toilet

The house is smoke-free.

Parking & facilities
There is ample parking for cars on the property. Please note that there is no charging station for electric vehicles.

Lake & nature
For enjoying the surrounding waters, our guests have access to a one-person rowing boat, two kayaks and two stand-up paddleboards.
The nearby Lake Almesåkra is perfect for a refreshing swim on warm summer days. The beautiful and peaceful forests surrounding the house are also ideal for walks and, depending on the season, offer wonderful opportunities for picking berries and mushrooms.

Shopping & surroundings
For everyday essentials, Bodafors, just around 8 km away, is easily accessible and offers an ICA Nära supermarket, a bakery and a pizzeria. In Nässjö, approximately 20 km away, you will find a wider selection of shops, cosy cafés and restaurants.

Day trips & activities
The location in Almesåkra is also an excellent starting point for day trips and excursions. Nearby attractions include Kulturgatan in Bodafors with its Trä-Art collection, Boda Borg in Sävsjö, Kleva Mine, Skullaryd Moose Park, the historic wooden town of Eksjö, the matchstick museum in Jönköping and Astrid Lindgren’s World.
Golf enthusiasts are also well catered for, with several golf courses within easy reach, including courses near Nässjö, Eksjö and Jönköping.

Whether you enjoy a quiet morning coffee overlooking the lake, a refreshing swim, a paddle on the water or a peaceful walk through the surrounding forests, our holiday home is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a little piece of Sweden.

Prices and Rental

Low season: May & September – SEK 10,000/week
High season: June, July & August – SEK 15,000/week

The cottage is rented exclusively on a weekly basis, with a minimum stay of 7 nights.
Saturday is the changeover day, which means that both check-in and check-out take place on Saturdays.
Final cleaning: SEK 1,500, which is added to the rental price.
