Little private farmstead near the heart of Öland.

In Runsten, just across the bridge, you'll have a whole little farmstead to yourself. There's a 1,000 m² garden, a veranda sheltered from both rain and sun, and a private, screened-off backyard with a gate to the road – plenty of room for friends and family to spread out.

The accommodation comes in two parts. The main house (75 m²) has four rooms plus a kitchen, of which two to three rooms can be used as bedrooms. The smaller cottage (25 m²) has two rooms, divided by a curtain rather than a door. In total, there are seven beds (two of them sofa beds), sleeping 7–10 people.

One bathroom with a shower and a toilet. A fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. Washing machine and drying rack available. Wifi included. Heating is provided by an air-source heat pump – which doubles as AC on warm days – plus a wood stove for cooler evenings. Parking for 2–3 cars on the property.

Great for kids: toys, books, games, high chairs, a changing mat, assorted outdoor toys – and one (delightfully dangerous!) soapbox car are all available.

Great for distances (by car): 2 min to a 24/7 shop, 15 min to the ICA supermarket, 10 min to the Bjärby swimming spot, 10 min to "Öland's Manhattan" from the 300s AD (Gråborg), 25 min to both Kalmar and Borgholm.

Great for berries: depending on the season, you're free to pick strawberries, gooseberries, currants, plums, apples, grapes, and cherries.

Good to know: Pets are welcome. No smoking indoors. Best suited to quieter stays.
