Bogsta By – A Historic Lakeview Country Estate

Welcome to Bogsta By, where the historic estate Bogsta Västergården is beautifully situated with lake views and sun from morning to evening. Here you rent the entire property for your group – two charming houses on the same grounds, perfect for families or friends who want to stay together while still having plenty of space.

The main house is a traditional Swedish farmhouse with three bedrooms, two living rooms, a small library, kitchen and dining room, as well as a bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and dryer. The smaller house is a charming guest house with a large room, kitchen, separate toilet, shower and sauna. Together the houses offer about 10 beds.

Both kitchens are equipped for cooking. The main house has fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher and smaller kitchen appliances such as toaster and kettle. The smaller house has a gas stove, oven and refrigerator.

The property has a large and leafy garden with an apple orchard, open lawns and wide views over lake, fields and forest. Enjoy the morning sun by the kitchen veranda and long summer evenings in the beautiful Södermanland countryside. After swimming in one of the nearby lakes you can warm up in the sauna on the property. Parking is available on the grounds.

Bogsta By is a small historic farm setting with several traditional buildings where Bogsta Västergården forms the main house. The area lies in the classic countryside of Sörmland (Södermanland) with views towards historic castles in the distance and has been featured in the Swedish magazine Gård & Torp. The estate has also served as a filming location for a popular German television series representing the classic Swedish countryside.

The surrounding area offers several beautiful lakes for swimming, nature reserves and hiking along the famous Sörmlandsleden trail, as well as many castles and excursion destinations throughout the Sörmland region. The property is located about one hour south of Stockholm.

For children there are toys, board games and a small playhouse in the garden, making the property especially appreciated by families.

Bogsta By is particularly well suited for two families or larger groups who want to stay together while still having plenty of space. It is a place of quiet, nature and long summer evenings in the Swedish countryside.

Bed linen and towels can be brought by guests. If preferred, bed linen and towels can also be rented for 250 SEK per person. Please let us know in advance if you would like this service so it can be prepared before your arrival.
