The holiday home was once an old mission house that was completed in the latter half of the 19th century. After a complete renovation, the house has now been converted into a residence. With cozy furnishings and amenities such as a dishwasher and washing machine, Chromecast, Apple TV and a wood-burning stove in the living room, you have good conditions for a wonderful stay. The owner lives on the plot next door and is available for questions during your stay. The plots are separated by privacy screens.

You also have access to a large terrace that is well suited for dinners on warm summer evenings. From the terrace you also have a partial view between the trees over Lake Fyllesjön. The lake offers both fine fishing and a swimming area with seating. A canoe is included when you book this accommodation and you can also choose to rent a boat and boat motor for 100 SEK per day. You also have the option to add final cleaning as an optional service supplement for a cost of 1500 SEK per stay. During 00:00-06:30 on weekdays, a robotic lawnmower is set to mow the plot and it is therefore a good idea to store your belongings on the terrace.

Things to see and do in Hjälmsänga / Rydaholm and the surrounding area
Near the holiday home there is a chocolate shop that makes its own chocolate made by a German chocolatier. For bookings and more information about e.g. chocolate tasting, you are warmly welcome to contact the landlord directly.

Rydaholm is located 6 km from the holiday home and in the community there is a full service such as a grocery store, health center, bakery, shops and a large car and toy museum as well as an inn with lunch and weekend offers. Nearby there is both a moose park and a golf course located in the community of Lagan

A tip is to take a day trip to the city of Växjö which is located in the heart of Småland. There is a lot to see and do here. The city has a wide range of unique shops and restaurants that are world class. A stone's throw from Växjö is also the Kingdom of Glass and the Kingdom of Furniture. In another nearby city, Värnamo, there is one of Sweden's most established cultural centers and modern museums called Vandalorum.
