A unique, charming cottage on its own island in the meteroitsjön Hummeln.
The cottage has 2 rooms and a kitchen with a fireplace. With a fantastic view over the lake.
There is a jetty with a swimming ladder and sun loungers. There is a wood-fired hot tub down by the water. There is a grill and a murika to use.
There is a guest cottage on the property with a double bed.
There is summer water and an outdoor shower with hot water.
The toilet is a compact toilet. There are 2 bunk beds and a sofa bed in the cottage. Blankets and pillows are in the cottage. Bring your own bed linen and beach towels. The electricity in the cottage is powered by solar cells and batteries.
Gas stove and gas refrigerator.
Fantastic fishing in Lake Hummeln. Known for zander, perch and pike.
Boat and canoe are included in the rent. So you need to be a little boating experience. Life jackets are available.

Vi var tre barn och två vuxna som hyrde stugan en vecka nu sommaren 2026. Stugan ligger som enda bostad på en ö i sjön Hummeln. Läget är svårslaget med en underbar utsikt över sjön, egen brygga och tillhörande båt med utombordare. Då två av barnen är väldigt fiskeintresserade nyttjades båten flitigt men det gick utmärkt att fiska även från bryggan. Badtunna, grill och muurikka gjorde vistelsen ännu mysigare. En veckas sol, bad och fiske med grillkvällar och vedeldad badtunna var verkligen supermysigt. Johan gick även att boka som fiskeguide vilket gjorde att vi fick koll på var man borde fiska i sjön och han var sedan mycket mån om att vi skulle ha det bra, lätt att få tag på om det behövdes och han fixade direkt om något behövde åtgärdas. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende och återkommer gärna nästa sommar igen.

This place is an absolute paradise! You have the whole island to yourselves, with no close neighbours. The cottage has a huge terrace and a dock with many cosy spots to relax. The big lake is beautiful with clear water, and you can fish directly from the dock. You reach the house by boat (approx. 7 minutes). You can also use the canoe to explore the various nearby islands. There's also a hot tub and a fireplace for colder weather. Johan is a very helpful and easily reachable host who makes everything possible for a great stay. He thinks of everything (e.g., plenty of drinking water in the house) and has made the island a perfect place. Tack så mycket, Johan! Oskarshamn is the biggest nearby town, approx. 25 minutes by car, with a couple of good restaurants. Kristdala (5 minutes) also has a grocery store. Overall, we stayed 8 nights and could easily have spent much longer on this perfect island - highly recommended for anyone who dreams of a quiet house right on the lake.
