Cozy cottage in a farm setting

Cottage 782, Lillstugan is located on Hedungs ​​Gård right next to hiking trails, ski slopes and cross-country trails in Edsåsdalen, a genuine and well-known pleasant village in the Södra Åre Mountains.

It is 9 km to Undersåker, where the train stops and there is a well-stocked grocery store. After another 20 minutes by car to Åre or Järpen you reach well-stocked grocery stores, restaurants, sports shops, system companies, pharmacies, taxis, car rentals and a health center.

This cottage has long been the house where the elderly lived when the younger ones took over, but is now our guest cottage with all modern amenities. The house has three floors with two bedrooms and toilet/shower upstairs and one bedroom with toilet/shower downstairs. Each bedroom has two single beds that can be put together or apart. On the entrance floor there is an open room with a kitchen, dining area and sofa group. The cottage is well insulated and has water-based heating and an air heat pump as an energy source.

Summer
In Edsåsdalen there are many suggested tours that can vary in length. We do not count the number of kilometers traveled, but let the small experiences in the forest or on the mountains become memories to talk about in pleasant moments in the sauna. A good place for children's first mountain adventure - a fairy tale trail for the little ones and an artificial path for the whole family.
There is also mountain farming here, so don't be surprised if you come across sheep or cows in the pastures.

Winter
Via your home lift, Hedungsliften, you can quickly and easily get into Edsåsdalen's family-friendly lift and slope system and then just as easily get back home to the cottage. It is not difficult to find the ski area and some slopes are above the tree line on Renfjället, with the slope restaurant Vita Renen as a popular excursion destination.

Right next to the farm, fantastic opportunities for touring and cross-country skiing are offered. Wind-sheltered forest trails and long hilly loops on mountain expanses. In addition to numbered tours with clear signage and wind-sheltered rest areas, there are ski trails prepared for classic skiing and skating.
Edsåsdalen is part of Södra Årefjällen, an area with over 400 kilometers of touring trails and trails.

From the cottage accommodation it is about 900 m to the village's meeting point Köja Fjällhotell, where there is a restaurant and bar that is open daily during the season, as well as a pool and gym. There is also a ski school and a sports shop with ski rental.
