Our cosy holiday home is located in the picturesque village of Lennartsfors, in the Värmland region near the Norwegian border. Just 200 metres away from the Lake Lelång – the perfect setting for anyone looking to relax in nature or experience the magic of Sweden for the first time.
The house, over 100 years old and built in traditional Swedish wood construction, sits on a 2,500 m² natural plot. Lovingly renovated, it offers rustic charm combined with modern comfort. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with four beds in total (One room with a double bed and another room with a bunk bed). The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and washing machine, a spacious dining room with an old-style wood stove, and a cosy living room with a fireplace. A wooden veranda wraps around the house – the ideal spot to breathe the fresh air, enjoy the peace and take in the surrounding nature.
The area
Lake Lelång stretches over 40 kilometres, connecting Lennartsfors with Bengtsfors. It is part of the Dalsland Canal, which runs all the way to Lake Vänern – Sweden’s largest lake. The lake is rich in fish and perfect for swimming, fishing and canoeing. The bathing area is only 200 meters from the holiday home. One highlight is the impressive three-chamber lock in Lennartsfors – a small engineering masterpiece. In the village, you’ll find the restaurant Bergstugan with a grocery store, a cozy ice cream parlor and a tennis- and a football court. Just a few steps from the house begins the beautiful Swedish mixed forest, perfect for hiking and collecting mushrooms, blueberries and lingonberries.
