Large house on Gotland

Beautiful holiday home by the sea on sunny Gotland!

Wooden house in Ljugarn on Gotland (Sweden's sunniest island). Gotland has the most hours of sunshine in Sweden! From the beginning of May until well into October you can expect beautiful sunny days and mild temperatures!

A maximum of 2 adults and 2-3 children up to 18 years old are allowed!

It is not allowed to share the house with other adults!

Fantastically located on a hill at the edge of the forest, only 700 meters from the sea and the sandy beach.

Important: Non-smoking house!

And no pets!

There are 2 private parking spaces in front of the house.

Surroundings:

World Heritage: Hanseatic city of Visby; Kneippbyn: Amusement park (home to the real Villa Villekulla from the Pippi Longstocking films. A large part of the Pippi Longstocking films were filmed on Gotland). There is a cave in the northwest and the island of Fårö in northern Gotland. Katthammarsvik: Oldest fish smokehouse with restaurant right on the water.

The best time to travel is from April to well into October! Just ask us!

Location: Ljugarn is located 45 km east of Visby, the capital.

The holiday home is located about 600–700 m from the beach.
The beach is easily accessible via a path behind the house through the forest or via shorter roads.
There is a small harbor in the village.

The supermarket is a 5-minute walk away.
There you will find everything you need.

In the summer, countless raspberries and blackberries grow less than 20 meters from the house (for everyone to enjoy!).

Ferries run in the summer to/from Nynäshamn, Oskarshamn or Västervik. Flights are available to Stockholm (Arlanda Airport) and then on to Visby.
A more affordable alternative: Fly to Stockholm and then take the bus to the ferry (Nynäshamn).
Take the ferry to Visby and from there a taxi or SAS bus directly to Stockholm (Arlanda Airport) and then various flights to Visby.

Other sports and leisure facilities: Distances: Beach 700 m, Tennis 500 m, Golf 500 m.

Garden and terraces
Garden features: Natural garden (no lawn from summer onwards, as it is not mowed!).

No charging facilities for electric cars (fire risk from cables!).

Deposit: The deposit of 1000 SEK must be paid 4 weeks before arrival.

Minimum stay: 7 days.

Arrival day during high season is Saturday July/August at 14:00.

Departure during high season is Saturday at 11:00.

Final cleaning is your responsibility!

Please bring your own towels and bed linen from 2026!

(Cots: 90 x 200 cm, double bed: 180 x 200 cm)

Rooms: (Ground floor) 1 large combined living room, dining room and kitchen with fireplace, 1 guest room with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and 1 storage room. (Upper floor) 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 large bedroom with 4 beds and 1 storage room.

Outdoors: 1 two-part shed containing
3 adult bicycles, a barbecue, a parasol,
a table and 6 chairs for the terrace and firewood (for the winter).
Wallbox 11 kW (100 SEK per day for the entire rental period)

The house is connected to the municipal sewage system
and has a regular toilet in the bathroom (not a composting toilet).

TV, Wi-Fi, DVD player, coffee maker, toaster, ironing board, iron, SodaStream with glass bottles (bring your own gas cartridges), fridge/freezer.
German TV (some Swedish channels!).

Terrace, barbecue, table, 6 chairs, bicycles.

The village has a small harbor, a supermarket and a gas station.
The supermarket is a 5-minute walk away.
There you will find everything you need.
There are also restaurants, a bakery, a pizzeria, a kiosk and a beach café with a mini golf course.
The bakery, gas station and supermarket are open all year round.
Various bands play at Brunna Dörren (a larger inn) during the summer.
