Cottage near forest and "private" beach

Welcome to 'Hagen' cottage.

Find peace and quiet in our cozy cottage dating back to the 18th century, fully equipped with modern amenities.

72 sqm with 2 bedrooms, a comfortable sofa bed in the main living room, plus a guest cottage with two beds. Modern bathroom, dishwasher, and washing machine. Large, secluded plot with multiple outdoor seating areas.

Convenient walking distance to a 'private' beach: stroll through the forest and past horse paddocks to the community's private sandy beach on a protected lake—a lagoon of Lake Mälaren. The water quality is tested regularly with great results, and motorboats are not permitted, making it easy to fully unwind.

Sleep soundly under the sloped ceilings, light a fire in the tiled masonry heater, breathe easy, and recharge. Enjoy the sunshine across the spacious grounds.

Peaceful rural surroundings:
* Close to stables offering trail riding, a golf course, and Lake Mälaren.
* Birdwatching haven right next to the swimming lake, home to white-tailed eagles and swans.
* Hike through historic grounds near Toresund Church, the ancestral estate of King Gustav Vasa, and numerous Viking Age archaeological sites.
* Try out the recommended cycling trails.
* Enjoy local activities and festivals in lively Stallarholmen, just a few minutes away by car.
* Don't miss Mariefred's picturesque town center—let the kids join the PAX walk, tour Gripsholm Castle, or take a ride on a heritage steam train or steamship.
