Welcome to a real gem in a harmonious place where the song of swallows and nightingales coexists with the sound of the sea.
A private garden with oaks, lavender and lovely roses, only 500 m as the crow flies from the sea with swimming and a sandy bottom.
The coastal meadows between the house and the sea are a bird sanctuary with a great diversity of species.
The house has been recently renovated with an open plan, new finishes and bright colours.
The kitchen, living room with a large corner sofa and bedroom with a double bed (160) are in one flow where curtains act as room dividers between the sleeping and living room and also mean that the daybed in the kitchen can be used as an extra bed.
The guest cottage has two beds, to be used either as two separate ones, a double bed or as a single bed.
There is also a playhouse on the large plot.
Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, stove with oven, extractor hood and fridge/freezer. Large kitchen table with space for at least six people. Small bathroom with shower, water toilet and sink.
Large terrace facing the garden with outdoor furniture, parasol, sun loungers and barbecue.
TV and wifi. Chromecast so you can bring your channels from home with you.
Air conditioning when the days get too hot.
The house is located about 30 km, a half-hour drive northeast of Borgholm.
Three and a half km southeast of Föra church.
Right at Lundarna and Rävgrävlavägen is on the left just before the sea.
The surroundings are very walkable with gravel roads, deciduous forest, beach meadows and pastures.
If you want to cycle, there are four nice bikes and many excursion destinations on both the east and west coast. Swimming areas and restaurants in Djupvik (8km) and Sandvik (11km) are within easy cycling distance.
Köpingsvik, twenty kilometers south at Kalmarsund has a popular beach and a lively nightlife.
In Föra there is a bus stop with connections to Stockholm, Kalmar and other parts of the island.
In Södvik there is a bakery and inn and an annual large flea market in July.
Ölandsro, five km away has a nice garden pub and b&b and on the main road is Ölands Gocartcenter.
In Sandvik there is an ICA store, bike rental, petrol/diesel pump and several restaurants.
In Källa there is another ICA store, a good car repair shop and Källa golf club with a nice restaurant.
Kårehamn, 16 km south on the eastern side has an excellent fish restaurant as well as a shallow beach.
Löttorp, the town on the northern part of the island has a large ICA, a summer-open swedish alcohol retail shop, petrol stations, a building centre, paint shop, pastry shop, library, cinema, health centre and several restaurants.
And a few kilometres north there are the miles of sandy beaches at Böda on the eastern side and Byrum's fantastic beaches on the western side.
The ferry to Oskarshamn from Byxelkrok runs twice a day during the summer.
Welcome to a secluded and relaxing place after a long day at the beach or among crowds of tourists. :-)
We rent out weekly during the summer but would be happy to hear from you about shorter rentals, for example at Easter, Öland Sprouts and the Harvest Festival.
Bed linen, sheets and towels are included in the rent.
Cleaning is done by the tenant before departure or can be purchased as an additional fee.
Kind regards
Lars Göran and Sonja
