Cozy cottage in the forest, next to lake

Welcome to this cozy little cottage, located in the middle of the beech forest. Here you live quiet, 3 minutes walk on gravel road down to the lake with fantastic fresh and clear bathing water, pier and barbecue area.

The cottage consists of a main cottage of 67 sqm and a guest cottage of about 8 sqm. In the main house you will find 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed (the lower slap is 120 cm wide and works well for two children, hence the note of an extra bed). In the guest house you will find two single beds.

In the living room you will find a stove, a comfortable couch, armchair and TV with DVD. Board games, books and movies for both children and adults are available on loan!

The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, stove and oven and a countertop dishwasher. Dining table that can be extended with room for 6-7 people. Cold and hot water in tap. The water comes from a well; recommendation is to bring drinking water as we can not guarantee that the tap water meets the requirements as drinking water)

The bathroom was renovated in 2021 and now also offers a shower. The bathroom can be accessed both from the master bedroom and with its own entrance from the outside, which means that guests in the guest house can come in at night without disturbing. If you prefer to come closer to the nature and take a shower under the treetops, we also offer a simpler outdoor shower. It can be pointed out that the water in the lake is so good that you can freshen up with an evening dip! In both cases we strongly recommend our guests to use biodegradable schampoo and soap.

The cottage has a covered terrace, of course with outdoor furniture.

This is the perfect vacation spot for families with children (or just those who want to take the safe before the unsafe in a pandemic). Except from the bathing area (with sandy beach), we also offer our own playground! Here is a large trampoline and a climbing frame with slide, climbing wall, swings, trapeze and climbing rope etc. New for this season is a zip-line! Please note though that the playground is located in the forest, with trees, branches and stones here and there, so adults should always supervise kids playing.

On our land there is also a newly bild sauna. It it possible to rent this for 600 SEK/week. Fire wood is included in price.

The cottage is located 11 minutes from Traryd where a small grocery store is located. To Ljungbystopp it takes 20 minutes to Ljungbystopp and here you can easily get drinking water, have a bite to eat at a restaurant or refill with necessities at the larger department stores. To Ljungby itself, it takes 24 minutes from the cottage. Next to the cottage you will find beautiful walking paths, bathing place (Stighult's bathing place). Fishing opportunities are available when buying a fishing license (via QR-code located on a sign next to the lake).

The cottage has been in our possession for nearly five years and has consistently received a facelift with new bathroom, wallpaper etc. Those of you who rent this year and get more taste for the coming seasons will, however, notice that the cottage is in an ongoing development process, so do not be surprised if something has been added or improved in relation to pictures and description.
