Spacious and Charming Traditional Hälsingland House in Bergvik by River Ljusnan
Are you dreaming of a wonderful holiday in Hälsingland, surrounded by nature and right next to the river? Built in 1909, our spacious and well-maintained traditional home offers plenty of space for up to 9 people to relax and spend time together – both indoors and outdoors.
Grounds, Garden & Forest:
The house features a large, lovely garden with apple trees, redcurrant bushes, gooseberries, and rhubarb – feel free to pick and enjoy! The expansive lawn is perfect for play and outdoor games like croquet, and is equipped with garden furniture and a charcoal grill.
The back of the property borders directly on the forest, where you can pick blueberries, lingonberries, and mushrooms during late summer and autumn. Marked trails (2.5–10 km) start right behind the house, ideal for hiking, running, or mountain biking. It is just 2 km to the nearest swimming spot in River Ljusnan, and a sports ground with soccer fields is located just a stone's throw away.
A House for Everyone (178 m²):
The house consists of seven rooms, including five separate bedrooms on the upper floor: three larger bedrooms (two with double beds, one with a bunk bed) and two smaller bedrooms with single beds. A baby cot and high chair are available upon request.
The large kitchen is fully equipped for 9 people (double refrigerators, small freezer compartment, pantry) and features a cozy wood-burning stove with complimentary firewood included. The house has two newly renovated bathrooms/WCs (one with a shower, one with a washing machine).
Technology:
For relaxing evenings, there are two comfortable living rooms on the ground floor. Both are equipped with TVs featuring Swedish and British channels (SVT, BBC News, etc.) as well as Chromecast for streaming. One of the living rooms also features a HiFi stereo with a CD player, as well as a large dining table seating 9 guests.
The house offers fast wireless Wi-Fi (fiber). For cooler evenings, there is a wood-burning stove, an air-source heat pump for both efficient heating and cooling, as well as electric radiators in every room.
Activities & Surroundings:
In the village of Bergvik, you will find a Coop grocery store, a pizzeria/grill, and a local summer museum. The nearest town is Söderhamn (17 km), and Bollnäs is just a 30-minute drive away via the scenic route over Segersta.
Cycling & MTB:
Standard bicycles and a 26" Scott MTB are available for rent. Mohed MTB Arena is located in the neighboring village.
Fishing & Culture:
River Ljusnan and Lake Bergviken offer fantastic fishing for pike, perch, and zander. Additionally, the local fishing club stocks trout in two nearby ponds.

Andra året i rad vi hyr stugan, och vi bara älskar det! Ett underbart vackert hus med massa plats för oss alla (4 barn och 5 vuxna), mysig inredning inne i huset, stor trädgård med hängmatta, swing ball och plats för lek och spring. Bra läge till det mesta (enligt oss som har bil). Vi kommer gärna tillbaka igen!!

Jättefint stort rymligt hus med stor trädgård. Mycket fint inrett med naturen bakom knuten. Vi var 4 vuxna, 2 tonåringar och 2 små hundar och vi behövde verkligen inte bo på varandra. Bra med två toaletter och dusch! Någon skrev att det var svårt att städa med trasmattorna, det tyckte inte vi, det gick hur bra som helst. Trevliga husvärdar som gav bra information från start. Rekommenderar varmt, kommer gärna tillbaks! Hälsningar familjen Tamm och Bergvall
