Welcome to this charming timbered cottage that offers both comfort and scenic relaxation in a stunning natural setting near the Skäckerfjällen Nature Reserve. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 people and has two bedrooms, a spacious living room with fireplace and kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower - the perfect place for a relaxing stay all year round.

Proximity to Kolåsen Fjällhotel (Mountain Hotel)
Kolåsen Mountain Hotel is located just a few hundred meters from the cottage, which offers a cozy restaurant with outdoor seating, bar, hot tub, sauna, barbecue hut and ski trails/hiking trails. The restaurant, "Ren Mat", serves food prepared on site with its own and local ingredients. Here you can also find a small kiosk with maps, sweets and souvenirs.

The mountain hotel also offers rental of rowing boats, bicycles and canoes etc. to explore the lake and the surroundings. During the winter months you can enjoy skiing and snowy landscapes, while summer offers hiking, fishing, canoeing and forest bathing. The Skäckerfjällen nature reserve is a fantastic place with a rich animal and plant life, perfect for both outdoor activities and relaxation.

Convenient facilities nearby
The nearest shop is in Kallsedet, 10km away, where you can buy the most essentials and a coffee. For larger purchases there is Ica in Kall, 55km away, and Järpen (80km away) which has Ica, Coop, off license shop and a pharmacy.

A place for relaxation and adventure
Kolåsen is one of Sweden's most magical places, with a fantastic view of the Skäckerfjällen mountains. Here you feel as if you have reached the end of the world, where the wild nature spreads out in all its splendour with a rich flora and fauna. Below the cottage is Lake Äcklingen, which offers opportunities for both skiing and barbecues in winter and swimming and boat trips in summer. In winter you can enjoy the tranquillity by the lake or go up the Fjällhotellet's small slalom slope and ride the Fjällexpressen up to the bare mountain.

Nearby excursion destinations
For those who want to explore more, Anjan mountain station, Huså and Åre are nice excursion destinations. Kallsedet, about 10km away, has a small convenience store for the most essentials, and for full supplies we recommend shopping in Järpen on the way to Kolåsen.

Mysig stuga med en fantastisk omgivning! Vi var här på vintern men det är förmodligen lika vackert på sommaren. Vi åt en väldigt god nyårsmiddag på det närliggande fjällhotellet.

Natuurbad – There are several small beaches on the lake which are about a 10 minute’s walk from the cottage. The lake is shallow, so it heats up quickly when the daytime temperature is high.
Slalom/Snowboard – Kolåsen Fjällhotell organizes tours up the bare mountain. A truly fantastic and wonderful nature experience where you can choose to continue on ski touring, go off-piste down or just have a picnic and walk around in snowshoes. Sneeuwscooters – There are snowmobile trails but Kolåsen is mainly intended for those who appreciate silence and nature experiences
