Northern West Coast - House near forest and salty

Very fresh and charming cottage in Bohuslän between Strömstad and Grebbestad for rent. Large garden with both lawns, flowers and natural plot. The cottage is fully modern with a bathroom that is fully tiled and tiled floors with underfloor heating. Since spring/summer 2024, a new fully renovated kitchen with underfloor heating and new mechanical equipment such as stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee maker and kettle. TV via Telia's broadband with about 20 channels is included. Free WiFi is included in the rent. You surf quickly and safely via Telia's broadband (500/500) which is included in the rent.

In the spring of 2024, a 24 sqm outdoor room was built which you reach via the kitchen and of course also via the garden.

In addition to the aforementioned kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, there are two larger rooms. The rooms are next to each other with an arch between them. One is a living room with a dining area and the other a so-called TV room.

On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, a smaller one with two beds and a larger one with 4 beds (no bunk beds).

In a separate building there is a laundry room where you also have access to another shower.

By car or bike you can easily get down to the salt baths in crystal clear water. Here you will find both cliffs and child-friendly beaches. Sweden's only national park at sea, "Kosterhavets Nationalpark", and its southern part is located 8 km from the cottage in Resö harbour. There you will find a newly built building with pictures and information that is open and free for the public to visit. A 10-minute drive away you will find Tanum's very well-known rock carvings with museum which are part of the World Heritage. If you want to experience peace and quiet, the area where the house is located is the perfect place for you. In reasonable proximity to the cottage you can find seasonal berries and mushrooms.

In the central town of Tanumshede you will find, among other things, a health center, a bank and a shop, but also Tanums Shopping Center (located next to the European route E6).

The municipality, which is the largest in Bohuslän in terms of area, has 530 kilometers of coastline with 350 islands.

Along the coast to the south you will find a number of genuine fishing communities, including Grebbestad, Fjällbacka, Hamburgsund, Hunnebostrand, Smögen and Lysekil, with everything they have to offer, not least in the summer. To the north you can reach Strömstad within a 15-minute drive. From there you can easily take a boat that goes according to the timetable to the Koster Islands, which are Sweden's westernmost archipelago. In the summer there is a rich entertainment scene where you will also find a varied selection of restaurants that serve everything you could wish for, such as freshly caught fish, shrimp, crayfish, crab, mussels and oysters.
