Cozy log cabin in Sälen

Welcome to rent our cozy cabin in Sälen!
The cabin is located in the family-friendly area of Gubbmyren, near Lindvallen. It’s easy to feel at home here! The cabin is modernly equipped and includes a sauna, shower, and toilet. There’s an indoor fireplace in the cabin and an outdoor fireplace on the patio. Firewood is not included but can usually be purchased from the nearest neighbor.

The cabin has two bedrooms, each with two bunk beds. Wi-Fi and Chromecast are available. Electric car charger is available for a fee. Parking for 2–3 cars is included and regularly plowed. There’s also an engine heater outlet. The cabin sits on a relatively large natural plot with mature trees and a public area behind it — perfect for children to build snow caves and ski right outside the door.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find board games and a large selection of DVDs to make your stay enjoyable. The cabin has been in our family for two generations, nearly 50 years, and has been gradually maintained without losing its charm. You’ll find exposed beams and creaky wooden floors. Keep an eye out for the squirrel — it’s been a regular visitor to the property for many years!

In the area, within walking or skiing distance from the cabin, there are well-maintained cross-country ski trails (some with lighting) and a great sledding hill. Trails are available for both classic and skate skiing. The nearest ski slope, Lindvallen (2 km), is easily reached by ski bus (bus stop approx. 50 m from the cabin, free with a lift pass). Lindvallen also features Experium with an adventure pool, spa, bowling, cinema, restaurants, and more. The Vasaloppet starting point is just a 10-minute drive away.

The cabin is also available for rent outside the winter season — perfect for hiking, fishing, cycling, paddling, or simply relaxing! The bike trail King of the Hill (cross-country/MTB) passes right outside the cabin, and several other trails are nearby.

We appreciate it if you briefly introduce yourselves (number of guests, ages) when you inquire about renting the cabin. Minimum age requirement is 25 years, or accompanied by a legal guardian. Guests are responsible for cleaning the cabin before departure.
