With breathtaking views of sky and sea, this stylish house with its own sauna and pool awaits you on the island of Stora Saxaren, located between Grinda and Vaxholm.

The property enjoys a private, sunny south-facing location at the island’s highest point, surrounded by untouched nature filled with berries and mushrooms. The large 12,000 sqm waterfront plot features a private jetty with great fishing and swimming opportunities. Please note that the house is on a hilltop, so some stairs are part of the charm.

Accommodation
The main cottage has 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds:
• Bedroom 1: Double bed (180 cm)
• Bedroom 2: Double bed (160 cm)
• Bedroom 3: Double bed (140 cm)

In the 15 sqm sauna cabin there is also a sofa bed for 2 people.
In the mainhouse there is also an extra mattress if needed.

Outdoor Spaces
The house is surrounded by generous decking with several seating areas, a dining area, and a barbecue spot. In front of the house you’ll find a terrace and lawn with pool, completely private and shielded from view.

At the water’s edge you’ll enjoy a private jetty with sailboat depth, sauna with lounge, and fantastic swimming. SUP boards are available for island adventures, and board games for cozy rainy days.

Getting Here
The island is served year-round by Waxholmsbolaget ferries from both Stockholm and Vaxholm (see waxholmsbolaget.se). Parking is found in Vaxholm.
The ferry stops at the public jetty on Stora Saxaren, from where it’s a 10-minute walk to the house (a cart is available for luggage).

The nearest grocery store is at Linanäs on Ljusterö (10 minutes by private boat), or in Vaxholm, easily reached by ferry running several times a day.
For extra convenience, MatHem delivers groceries directly to the jetty.

For guests arriving by private boat, the area offers a wide choice of cozy seaside restaurants.

Please note that this is a nature area, so the terrain can be challenging with stairs, rocks and cliffs.
