Traditional and spacious swedish summer house

For rent in the summer our old, spacious and genuine house in Southern Dalarna. (2.5 hrs. drive from Stockholm by car, bus or train) The house is located in Stimmerbo, one of the best preserved villages in the region. It is close (5 km) to the town of Smedjebacken, where all shopping can be done.

On the ground floor are the big entrance hall, two bedrooms and the kitchen with old fireplace, fridge, electrical stove (induction), and all normal appliances. On the first floor is another bedroom and a big living room with wood stove and nice view on the surroundings. A basic bathroom with hot shower and dry toilet is in the old barn. The garden is big enough to play a soccer or badminton game, hang around or barbecue. There are 7 bicycles (4 moutainbikes), a canoe and a small rowing boat in the lake nearby. Children-friendly swimming spots are very close and reachable within 5 minutes by bicycle. Or you can plunge in the small river just 200 meters from the house.

In the surroundings are lots of opportunities for sports, leisure, museums, cultural activities. This house may not have Wifi and a dishwasher but is hard to beat on atmosphere.
