Almesjö farm is located on the border between the counties of Halland and Skåne. The accommodation has got 4 bedrooms, and big open plan living area and a conservatory. It is a short walk to the lake Bolmen (the 10th largest lake in Sweden) with possibilities to explore private beaches and islands or to explore further with a boat or a canoe. There are also endless possibilities in the area for walking, biking, kayaking/canoeing, fishing and berry/mushroom picking.

The second floor of this 130 year old, delicately renovated Smålands farm house is available for rent. It has a private driveway and big parking area surrounded by a newly landscaped garden, including a patio with outdoor furniture, BBQ and a parasol.

You enter the accommodation through the charming private conservatory with preserved original windows where you will find a table with a sofa and armchair - a great spot to enjoy the sunset. Past the conservatory there is a spacious hallway. From here you will find a downstairs toilet, the door to the bedroom on the first floor and the stairs to go to the second floor.

Upstairs you will be greeted with the preserved timber walls and old beams in the open plan living area. Around the brick walled house chimney, which rises in the middle of the room, you will find the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, stove, oven and microwave. There is a table with room for a large group of people and sofas and armchairs with south facing views towards the forest and the pond. Next to the living room you will find the spacious bathroom with toilet and shower and the restored original wooden bathtub of the house.

There are three bedrooms upstairs + one bedroom downstairs;
1. The master bedroom with two single beds, which can easily be pushed together.
2. The smaller room with 2 single beds, next to the master bedroom.
3. The sleeping loft, the kids favourite, with two beds (but the floor can be covered with mattresses)
4. The downstairs bedroom with 2 single beds.

There is a total of 8 beds, but please get in touch with a request even if there is more of you, as a solution most likely can be found. We are of course also open to discuss the price, if there is only two or three of you. At the front of the house you will find an organic vegetable garden. You are welcome to enjoy the harvest after agreement with the owner. You also have access to a small boat in our small fish and crayfish pond (maximum depth 1 m). In the middle of the pond there is a small island with a barbecue area. You have access to all the grass areas and the pond as well as the forest, but please respect animals, nature and the “all mans right”.
By foot or by car you can travel the 1 km to get to lake Bolmen, where there is plenty of swimming and BBQ spots. With a fishing license it is a great lake for fishing pike and other fish. If you are interested in renting a boat or a canoe, we can arrange this. You can paddle over to one of our private islands just off shore or go further afield. There are also several walking and biking trails in the area. During the right season we can offer hunting opportunities of moose, deer, wild boar and hare on our land. If you would have any questions during your stay the owner is living on the first floor 2-3 days / week.
