Retreat- Kerstin's cottage

Built in 2010, our traditional Scandinavian cottage offers guests a peaceful, all-year-round retreat just 500 metres from the main road and a ten-minute walk from the village centre.
Facilities include: bedroom with two single beds ● living room with dining table and chairs, bed-sofa (double), radio and television ● sleeping loft (summertime) for teenagers or children (2 substantial matresses) ● shower room and sink ● separate toilet with sink ● kitchen with induktionhob, fridge with freeze box, coffee maker, oven, microwave with grill and an ample supply of cutlery, china, glasses and cooking utensils. The cottage has its own private terrace with views across our meadow and river. The river is ideal for paddling and messing about with toy boats and the meadow is perfect for energetic games.
Charges are by the week or day (min 2 days); just let us know your arrival and departure dates.
The village of Vollsjö offers visitors a well-stocked grocer’s, bank, pizzeria, creperia coming, petrol and service station, open-air swimming pool (5 minutes by car), library and second-hand and bric-a-brac shop. A ten-minute walk will take you to Thuleslund - a unique, 4000m2 furniture, soft-furnishings, interiors and present shop with its own cafe, it was voted best furniture shop in Sweden in 2018!
You have your own parking place adjacent to the cottage as well as hard-standing for your visitor’s camper-van or caravan with their own water and electricity facilities. We have no facilities for greywater or toilet disposal.
Places to visit: The Baltic Sea with numerous sandy beaches is just 40 minutes away and Vombsjö Lake is only 15 minutes away – both are suitable for bathing and children. We will be only too pleased to direct you to numerous historic, quaint and interesting places of interest – Southeast Skene is never crowded!
Outings: Malmö - 50 min, Ystad - 35 min, Lund - 40 min, Kristianstad - 40 min, Copenhagen Airport - 55 min, Copenhagen by car 1 hour or train, Helsingborg - 80 min + 20 min by ferry to Hamlet’s Castle and Louisiana Art Gallery.
