This traditional Swedish country house is situated in the rural and tranquil setting on the eastern part of Skarpö Island in the mid of Stockholm archipelago. The property is surrounded by pastures/meadows with large oaks close to the house. A free car ferry link (5 min) to Vaxholm leaves every 15 min.
This two level villa of 130 sqm, with three bedrooms (a double bed on the ground floor, one 120, 140 and 90 cm on the upper floor and two possible additional beds) (The guest house is equipped with one 105 and one 90 cm bed). There is one bathroom with heated floor, towel rack, shower and washing machine.
The living room has a corner sofa and a 130 year old tiled stove. A glazed veranda overlooks the garden to the west. The fully equipped kitchen with dining place, (dishwasher, stove, microwave oven, oven, freezer and fridge), has an iron stove.
A new built house in the garden contains a wooden fired sauna and dressing room with shower. Adjacent to this is a large greenhouse including table and chairs.
The 2500 m2 property is ideal for outdoor activities with a huge flat lawn. There is also one dock with a small boat with motor and yawl for rowing, one wooden fired hot tub and a grill with an outdoor dining group. Several sites for bathing from sand beaches or cliffs exist in the vicinity.

Vaxholm is a 40 minute drive from the center of Stockholm. There are busses and boats going in to the city. Skarpö Island, accessed by car, is known for its turn of the century wooden country houses and beautiful forest walks. There are numerous restaurants and shops in Vaxholm. Boat trips from Vaxholm to the center of Stockholm are available, along with boat trips to numerous islands, including Sandhamn.
