This welcoming farmhouse, which has a lovely large garden, surrounded by
pastures with grazing horses and cows. It is located in a beautiful village with
gravel roads and open countryside.
The farm is situated on a hill overlooking Skatelövsfjorden, the northern part of
Lake Åsnen, which has a rich wild life, with a large part of the lake and its
surroundings being a nature reserve.
Here you can stroll in the woods, swim, fish (fishing permits are sold in the village),
take a bike ride around the “fjord round” or visit Huseby manor house which is
famous for its ironworks amongst other things(6 km).
At Huseby, you can rent bikes and book tripa on the excursion boat Eagle which is
a floating nature centre. There is a restaurant, café and also a variety of food
and,arts and crafts stores.
The farmhouse is located about 20 km south of Växjö, which has a rich cultural life
with theatres, restaurants and various museum and historic sites - the House of
Emigrants, Swedish Glass Museum and Kronoberg Castle Ruins. The Kingdom of
Crystal/Glass can be visited on a day trip.
The closest beach is c. 1500 meters from the house and has a jetty, another two
bigger beaches are c 8 km away (Torne/Kalsvik).
Torne is situated about 8 km south, here you can swim, rent rowing boats, pedal
boats and canoes. Fishing equipment are also available to rent or buy.
The farmhouses 1st floor consist of three large bedrooms, 6 beds + 1 bunk bed, a
junior bed and a cot, large landing and a large modern toilet with shower and
Jacuzzi bathtub. The Ground floor layout is a large kitchen with dining table,
hallway which leads into a living room, a second large living room with an open
fire, fourth bedroom with a bed and a junior bed, and a bathroom with shower.
The basement has a bathroom with shower and a sauna, large play room and utility
rooms.
Directions:
Approx. 18 km south of Växjö in road 23, turn towards Kalvsvik, proceed to
