A wonderful 19th-century house, recently completely renovated and newly equipped. Everything has been done and chosen with care and made us feel very well for our 11 days stay in August. Lots of space. Up to 6 could sleep here: three double beds in two sleeping rooms and the spacey living room. A huge kitchen with all sorts of kitchen equipment, enough to cook and bake whatever you want to. The house has a lovely terrace and we were allowed to stroll through the large garden. The house is owned by a potter, Thord Karlsson, whose workshed is in a neighboring building. So he and his staff were available if needed, and everybody was always friendly and helpful. This part of the village is quiet and next to a famous, wonderful old church. Most people seen were visitors to the pottery or to the church. There is a village handcraft shop <100 m away, a small supermarket and a petrol station in Stånga, and more shops in Hemse. You need a car or a bicycle.
