Summer idyll in the Stockholm archipelago

Summer idyll in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago on beautiful Ljusterö.

A charming house with a well-equipped kitchen, living room and bedroom. Completely renovated with bright colors and new floors. A large sunny garden that invites you to play or just relax and unwind. A place to play ball games, badminton or Swedish ”kubb” etc., which is available to borrow.

In the house there is a bedroom, living room with double bed, kitchen and a small wash room. From the living room you reach a private and secluded patio with a view out into nature.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stove and oven, fridge/freezer, hot and cold water, microwave etc. The living room has a day bed that can easily be converted into a double bed (160 cm) and a dining area. The separate bedroom has a 120 cm wide bed that can be used for couples or children. A cot, high chair and extra mattress can be borrowed free of charge. TV for DVD player is available as well as several DVD movies for children and adults (no separate TV signal). For visitors with children there are also swings, sandboxes and outdoor toys to borrow.

The house has a charming private outhouse and outdoor shower through solar heated hose. Or why not take a swim in the Baltic Sea?

About 8 minutes walk from the house (approx. 600 m), you have the chance to take a swim. About 15 minutes walk away, there is also a smaller beach, floating jetty, rocks and picnic possibilities.

Before departure, the house will be cleaned by the guest. Smoking and pets are not allowed indoor.
Charging of electric car/hybrid possible according to separate arrangement. Electricity is paid separately by the guest.
Parking space for caravan available.
Some weeks the garden of 5000 sqm is chaired with the landlord.


Ljusterö and excursion destinations:
Ljusterö is one of the largest islands in the Stockholm archipelago. Here you have the opportunity to be both active and to relax in a peaceful and tranquil environment. There is diverse nature with forests rich in mushrooms and berries and a rich animal and bird life. Östra Lagnö nature reserve is worth a visit, where a picnic with a swim from the rocks or a short hike will brighten up your day!

Less than 10 minutes by car from the house is Linanäs marina with a small farm shop, boat harbour and ice cream. Here you will also find restaurants with a sea view and a lovely sunny location. From Linanäs Waxholmsbolaget operates regular services to other islands, Vaxholm and Stockholm. The island also has a number of other piers that Waxholm boats dock at regularly schedule.

On Ljusterö square there is a well-stocked grocery store, several restaurants, ATG retailer and retailer for Systembolaget (pre-order needed).
At Klintsundets marina (Klintan) there is a grocery store, café, kayak and bicycle rental and a boat fuel station.
Ljusterö Golf with 18 holes is a short drive from the house.


The house is accessible:
by car via Ljusteröleden. Ferries (free of charge) from Östanå ferry terminal are offered with frequent trips every day.
by SL bus. The bus stop is 5 minutes walking distance from the house.
Waxholmsbolaget boats combined with SL bus.


Excursion tips:
Norrtälje with charming cafes and shops.
Öregrund, a lovely summer town with a boat harbour.
Vaxholm, visit the fortress or many lovely restaurants and cafes, summer shops on the way to / from the house or why not as a day trip excursion with the Waxholm boat?
